“We stayed here to ride our bikes on the presidential rail trail in Gorham and float on the Saco. North Conway is a great place to be close to nature and still be near restaurants and necessities. The Golden Gables was located in a spot that is easy to get in and out of. The grounds and pool were refreshing after spending the day bike riding. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet at night. We were on the first floor so we could house our bikes at night. It was a great value. ”

“We arrived very late, but even in that hour the clerk (think his name was Jacob) was alert, friendly, and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our room. Fruit salad would be a nice addition to the (free!) breakfast options, but altogether a really great stay!”

“The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even recommended nearby souvenir shops and an amazing breakfast spot. I would give them a perfect score for their service. The hotel is converted from an old elementary school, which gives it a unique character. However, the bathroom is a bit small, with a sink that seems sized for elementary school students, making it easy to splash water everywhere. The bed appears to have dust mites, as my allergies acted up shortly after lying down, though it……

“Stayed at the motel to hike. A shower/bathtub with a whirlpool was a treat after hiking 12 miles over 10 hours. The rates are an excellent value.”
