"Restaurant service needs to improve. Dinner service was very slow and we had to ask twice for drinks, they just totally forgot about it. However food was delicious. Buffet breakfast was poor, not worth the price. We noticed a big group having breakfast before us, so basically we had to eat leftovers, for example only one piece of cheese was left and the staff didn't added more cheeses, scramble eggs were cold, not a good bread selection, no fruits. Nobody care to ask if we need something. "

"First, the hotel room, staff and location were great. It would have been nice to know that major construction has been going on for a while, and will continue for some time to come. In absolute fairness, this did NOT impact sleep at the place. It did distract from a welcoming feeling. Trucks, cranes etc were the first thing we saw as we got there. The parking (regardless of construction) is limited in the immediate area, but the Hotel has an arrangement with the immediately adjacent parking lot so that worked out good. The area in front of the hotel is the parking lot, so the ambiance of the place is not wonderful. However, everything you need is within easy walk from the hotel. "

"We were a group of 8, and the house was more than adequate in size and facilities to accommodate us. The indoor pool and the games room were excellent added features. An well-appointed kitchen meant we could cook several of our meals in the house. The closeness to all amenities (restaurants, bars, cafes, butcher, supermarket, boulangeries, etc) made everything easy to access. Also, a great Saturday morning market for excellent fresh produce. Gilles, our host was excellent, and always on hand if we needed any assistance. It was nice on occasion that he would accept our invitation to have a glass of wine together. We cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful experience we had at the property, and can certainly recommend it highly."

"Hotel is really quaint and done within several very old buildings - as best as possible. Decent accommodations, with the givens of walking up and down numerous stairs, dark hallways, etc. Personnel there ranges from: exceptionally sweet young woman - who carried our heavy suitcases up two steep stairs (no elevator) - to a very unfriendly male. Requests like - making a call on our behalf to a beauty salon - were met with dismay (by the male). The breakfast area could be easily mistaken for a US Best Western hotel. Impersonal. Food as well. The only thing - that was really cool - was the giant mural with the Rabelais character - Gargantua (the gourmand). All in all it is an OK place with strategic location within the downtown."
