"Sadly, my stay at this property was not great. It felt like I was staying in a compound where it was only safe to venture out during daylight. Communication was awful especially regarding the problems with running or hot water. The food was mediocre at best. I listened to dogs barking throughout the night, every night. I was awoken at 7am on Saturday morning to a voice over a loud speaker. I don’t speak Spanish, so I had no idea what was happening and I was scared. Eventually I was able to figure out he was preaching. The pool area was beautiful and the gym was very good. "

"The room was generally good but the coffee maker and the air con didn't work. It took about 30 minutes for simeone to exchange the coffee maker. Overall it was pleasant but not great."

"The property advertised as the “Elegant Villa” is grossly misrepresented and in unacceptable condition. Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the home is severely worn, outdated, and neglected. The listing photos and description do not accurately reflect the current state of the property. The bathrooms were not simply unclean — they were disgusting. Every bathroom was in a condition that should never be presented to paying guests. The showers were visibly unsanitary and unfit for use. Only one shower was even remotely usable, and that one is partially broken. The remaining bathrooms were not in a condition any reasonable guest would feel comfortable using. Our three-year-old child discovered women’s underwear left behind in the property, demonstrating a complete lack of proper inspection prior to our arrival. Beyond cleanliness, the villa reflects long-term neglect. Furnishings are heavily worn, stained, and dated. Fixtures and finishes show visible deterioration. No amount of cleaning would resolve these issues — the property requires substantial repair and updating. The pool and hot tub are also in disrepair and not properly maintained. These amenities were a material factor in booking this property. We documented all issues immediately upon arrival and expect prompt resolution."

The villa was stunning - and even nicer than the pictures - and the staff was incredible from arrival to departure. The host’s coordination was top-notch and highly professional.
