「The property is lovely and welcoming. It’s unfortunate that the Duty Manager is rude and bitter. She ruined the experience by kicking us out of the property at 11:40 saying that we cannot leave our car because the property closes when she takes her lunch break. We were told that she was new. Well, she clearly should not be working in the hospitality industry. We didn’t even spend 24h on the property although we booked the Honey Moon suite. The other staff members were amazing, especially Edna...

Also small but charming is the welcome room off reception with a decent complementary tawny Port on offer, and on Hermanus’s occasional colder evenings, a log fire.」
