"Pets are welcome. Old hotel w/ newer furniture and paint (lipstick on a pig). Ice machine was broken, elevator lobby chair had ugly stains on it on the 3rd floor. I had to reboot their internet connections three times to the washing machines/dryers, which were $4.00 per load to wash & dry, after purchasing $2.00 soap & $2.00 dryer sheets. Front desk staff was often missing from the front desk & I had to go locate them outside chatting or in the restaurant kitchen chatting when I needed things. Lobby bathroom was a joke! All but one toilet was out of order & all soap dispensers were empty! 24 hour security guard in the parking lot because the location is THAT shady. SUPER bright fluorescent hallway lights shining through the door crack and under it all night long. Third floor view of I-5 w/ all the noise because the windows are from the 70s or 80s. Someone's long, dark hair was stuck to the bathroom ceiling. Breakfast was very basic & the exact same every day: store bought muffins, yogurt, oranges, packaged instant oatmeal, hard boiled eggs. Very thuggish area to be completely honest. Do not recommend!"

"EQC Hotel Casino Tacoma property is very well maintained and clean. The room and bed is very tidy and always fitted with clean linens and comforter; place is very accessible to the interstate highway with ample parking access. And most importantly the staff is very courteous and professional particularly JC and all the front desk staff, housekeeping and casino staff and security. Will definitely stay again at EQC Tacoma on my next visit in Seattle and this hotel and casino is Highly Recommend!!! Jerico Chicago, Illinois"

"We chose this hotel based on its reasonable price with breakfast included. We found the hotel to be very clean, the lobby large, and the staff very accommodating. The included breakfast, while standard fare, was hearty and plentiful. They also had a coffee machine with specialty coffee options, like lattes and macchiatos, available 24 hours. The room was very adequate, with USB ports on each side of the bed, a large TV, desk and chair, two large drawers with shelf above to place suitcase. The bathrom had decent counter space and a shelf for cosmetics. The location is near a port and a train rail. It was quiet during the night. The location is not convenient for walking to local cafes or restaurants, but if you have a car, it seems close enough to where the action is. We were visiting family members who provided transportation. We did not visit a pool or exercise room. All in all, while not a luxury hotel, we were very pleased with our stay."
