"We were thrilled with our stay. The North Branch Inn is the epitome of rustic charm and only a pretty 2 1/4 hour drive from New York City. All three buildings that make up the Inn are charming with that smell of wood. We loved the restaurant for both dinner (make sure you make a reservation) as well as the included breakfast. "We had an amazing weekend. The house is a bit outdated, but we were there to be outside. There is another rental connected to the A-frame. The walls are very thin, but we didn't mind at all. (We're used to the loud city). They have their own fire pit and outdoor section in the back yard. Almost perfect
"Big, clean, quiet, comfortable room. Fast and friendly reception. Only issue is they continue to automatically add optional charges, such as local historic fees. It should be enough that I gave them the privilege of hosting me. I have never understood special taxes snd fees on tourists and travelers, as if we don't have a choice where to visit and stay."
