Great place to stay, close to Lancaster and motorway access. Quiet location, very helpful and friendly staff. The bar area was clean and tidy a great selection of drinks were available at decent prices. The Inn provided a ploughman's platter for two as the restaurant was closed on a Monday which was tasty with a good selection of Cheeses, biscuits etc. Breakfast was excellent served piping hot to order, a good selection of food on the menu. Plenty of parking availability at the side of the Inn and a small beer garden to the rear. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had a lovely short stay in this attractive stone pub with lots of character.. The location is perfect for Lancaster and the University nearby. The rooms are of a high standard and very clean. Food was good and staff pleasant and helpful. The lovely garden at the back was ideal for a relaxing pre dinner drink. Thank you, we will definitely recommend to our friends!

Beautiful room , spotlessly clean and very comfortable bed. The hot spell of weather meant that the room very warm ( the AC unit in the room was sadly not effective at all) so we were glad we’d taken our own room fan which helped to cool the room a bit for sleeping. Staff were very friendly and helpful and food including breakfast was very good. The hotel is situated in the countryside with its own car park and a 15 minute drive to Lancaster.

The room was clean and had usual amenities for tea, coffee and also some cookies. The manager was polite and to the point, though no warm repartee/ conversation. The breakfast ( full English) was exceptional. The room we had faced a fenced in green field site that looked as though it had been used to dump construction materials , plastic chairs and rubble.., The hotel has no control of that, and this was a minor distraction. We learned from local folks that the food here is very good, though the restaurant is closed on a Monday, the day we arrived. The manager offered cold plates, and as we did not want to utilize that service, we asked and the manager suggested an alternate place to eat at, which turned out fine. Good overall stay.

We stayed at The Fleece for a couple of nights. Our welcome as a pleasant professional one, despite the bar and restaurant being busy. Our room and the linen was very clean, and although quite warm, there was a fan provided that did the trick. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was good, and the breakfast, which was included, was delicious. Lovely beer garden/ courtyard to enjoy a relaxing beer. All in all an excellent stay and we wouldn’t hesitate staying here again. Thanks to all the staff and management.

On first inspection the room appeared cosy with equality fixtures and bedding, however the headboard was filthy and smelly. The bedside lights were full of dust. The carpet was grubby. The wardrobe door doesn’t shut The bar area carpet was dirty Table was covered in fly dirt. Food was poor.
