「we stayed in room 4 and despite having a radiator this was centrally controlled by the main reception. we found this out on night 2 as when we went to bed on the first night we whacked the radiator on thinking that would be that but nope, cold as ice through the night. reception did sort but the room didnt get that warm so assuming the thermostatic valve wasnt fully operational. the shower screen squeegee at the bottom didnt properly fit and a gap up at the hinge point meant water escapes onto...

「The Alamo Guest House was lovely, in a great location across from a lovely park. Easy access to everything …. transport, museums, restaurants, etc. The staff were exceptional. Great breakfast offered.」

「Room was nice and clean. Property seemed well maintained. Gym was a bit small could’ve used a few mats but worked just fine. Only negative was the laundry facilities………only one washer and dryer for all guests, and seems the hotel was using it too, so even more limited. (They were washing the pet cloths). Even with that we’d stay there again! Great staff and space!」

「Room was clean and breakfast was good. Rooms are very spacious, and decor is amazing. Staff is super helpful and friendly. But, hotel is very noisy. Make sure you don’t get room 15 unless you are deaf and/or sleep like a rock. It is directly over the party room and reception, and there is also an almost constant thumping in the walls all night (pipes?). Then, in the morning the music at reception will wake you up. (It was so loud that when we went down for breakfast, we had to yell to speak to...

「The property was nice overall, pretty much a place to sleep, while you visit around the area. The staff was superb and super helpful, in every way possible. The negatives are that the TV would lose signal, hence no way of connecting to local and/or online. The hotel could use a bit of updating, but overall there is nothing really wrong with it. No complaints on the food or bar.」
