“Clean well presented accommodation, check was easy and well communicated, parking was easy to find with the addition of photos to help. Good location and pet friendly, close to town with a few steep steps but you quickly get used to that. Maybe a parasol would be nice to go with the table and chairs outside, even more so in this current heat wave. Make sure you bring some milk/water with you, if your after a tea/coffee after that long drive down, think that was the only thing missing would be a……

“It was more than we expected the owner thought of everything that is needed when you’re away would definitely go back and recommend to anyone who fancy’s a stay in Cornwall ”

“The rooms are quite dated, the majority of the pictures shown are for the first floor rooms while the ground floor rooms are lot more dated and feel like the disparity is quite big. The room itself has two bathrooms and the ensuite had a very foul smell when we first entered and the second bathroom had a damp odour to it. Also enjoyed the short stroll into Charlestown to the Pier House and many restaurants around the harbour (Charlestown Fish, Dough Buoys, HBQ are all good). Then there is the Coastal Path which goes from outside the property. Going east up the hill is a great walk, but going west……

“Penny Cottage provided a specious, yet very cosy stay, with excellent, easy access to the Camel Trail for great walks and a complete break in nature. We would definitely recommend!”

“Cross Cottage is cosy, comfortable & cleaned to a high standard highly recommended.”

“For us it was an excellent location. It was clean and comfortable and our hosts were very friendly.”

“Too difficult to deal with, needed to upload ID before the stay and kept sending me a link that I couldn’t click on. Right at the last minute offered to text me the link so I could copy it, was too late by then. I decided to stay somewhere else. Wouldn’t recommend.”

“It is a big apartment. Everything is there. Specially the kitchen with an oven. Perfect bed. Only the neighbourhood is a bit poor. But a small supermarket just round the corner. Breakfast included is basic.”
