Disappointing Stay -- Poor Communication & MaintenanceSadly, this home did not meet expectations, especially considering the premium price point. Check-in details arrived only hours before arrival--we had to call VRBO while boarding our flight due to no response from the host. Very stressful.Main TV constantly froze, where we had to restart the system numerous times (missing the end of the Wimbledon semi-final); the audio/video were also out of sync. Ants were in the kitchen, on the sofa--even inside the coffee machine, which was not working and very dirty. The pool was not cleaned--we attempted to clean it ourselves on the first day of our vacation. After reaching out to the host via VRBO and text, a technician showed up unannounced--which was quite unnerving to see a man in the backyard without any notice. Also frustrating, was the closet access -- or rather, lack thereof. Of the 5 bedrooms, all of the closets were locked but 2. And, in those 2 closets, combined, there were just 7 hangers--for 7 guests: 1 hanger per person?!? One bedroom downstairs facing the kitchen had glass doors with no covering, making it unusable, due to no privacy. Lights inside the house turned on automatically around 7am. The alarm system was inconsistent. We were told to keep it armed--even while sleeping--which raised safety concerns. We had just returned from a high-end, pristine, well-managed VRBO in Spain (for less/night!) and this stay, 2 days later, was a big disappointment.
