The Leo Grand has a lot of appeal. The design is great, the location is perfect. Wonderful high quality beds and linens and lovely Penhaligons toiletries. Breakfast was included booking via Expedia and that was a big plus as otherwise it’s quite expensive. The covered and heated courtyard which also serves as the dining room plays music til late ish as the restaurant is busy and fun - but I wouldn’t book a room overlooking the courtyard for fear it would be noisy. Our room faced the street outward and was blissfully peaceful.

The location is excellent, staff were nice. In hotel price for drinks was way too high and limited. So just avoid that and go to a local spot nearby and there are plenty. While the hotel claims Air Conditioning it is in fact only available during certain seasonal times. We were here late April in hot weather and had to sleep with windows open and there is a LOT of urban dust/dirt in the air.

Friendly staff, spacious rooms, great breakfast

We booked a superior room. I would hate to stay in a basic room. Everything was ok but nothing was superior. Not helped by the air con not working and the room was far too hot. Even though the weather outside was quite cold. Coffee machine in our room didn’t work either. Breakfast was not great, of the 3 coffee makers often 1 or 2 were out of order. The orange juice maker didn’t work for most mornings and the only available fruit juice was carrot juice. The breakfast buffet was ok. Excellent property, location, staff! Definitely the location and the service was great. It’s a hotel we will come back! It could not be better Thank you!
