One of the many beautiful waterfalls on the island of Dominica. Hot baths, kind people and breathtaking hikes are the main interests of this island.
Finally made it, after a long walk, to the Freshwater lake in Dominica! A further one hour walk to go all around the lake, immersed in nature (on a very slippery path). One of the beauties of Nature Island
The entrance to this narrow rainforest slot canyon is dark and the water is cold, but it's well worth the adventure to swim on in and check out the waterfall at the back. The canyon is about 100ft (33m) long and ends where a small waterfall rushes in. The water is too deep for standing, and the current is pushing you out, so you'll be swimming upstream on the way in. You can rest on a rock ledge once you get to the falls. Don't forget to look up - ferns, vines and other leafy plants cascade into the canyon from far above. For you movie buffs, a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was filmed here. It happens around the 40 minute mark, after the pirates fall into a gorge while being chased by natives. Fantastic hotel, hands down. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars, is they dont have a microwave for guests. If you have leftovers from dinner, you have to go back to the restaurant for them to reheat your food. My only recommendation is to have a microwave either at the bar or every other floor ...

The cabin was incredibly unique and well maintained. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Nicki was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Would recommend. There are not a lot of food options in the village (closest being Roseau) but the kitchen is very well equipped. Bring groceries and plan to ...

Our cottage was right on the beach and we went to bed each night with the sound of quiet waves lulling us to sleep. We went for a diving trip and Cabrits Dive Shop was a short walk away making it very convenient. The beach is beautiful! Staff was kind and kept the place clean and neat.
