「This is an amazing place to stay with great views and a beautiful neighborhood to walk around. I would say the only thing to make sure you do is read the entire listing and make sure you read about the pet rules. Although, this place states to be pet friendly, it is not a pet friendly place for people with animals that are part of the family. 「As pictured, this quaint cozy cottage was perfect for our brief stay in Le Claire. Kristy is a terrific host-quick to respond to the questions we had. An easy walk to shops and dining, the cottage is in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely deck. The kitchen is well equipped and thoughtfully organized and the bathroom is plenty roomy and has a terrific shower head. If in the area, we will definitely stay again.」

「The property had more than enough space for my family of 6 adults. It was peaceful, minus the occasional train, with plenty to do. My adult kids loved the game room while my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. It is just a short drive to town, but we did everything from grilling on the deck to playing a rowdy card game around the large table with friends. Beds were comfortable and Kara’s home was clean. We hope to stay with her again in the fall. 」

「We were infested by mayflies inside, had to leave after second day of 4 day stay...trying to get partial refund. rotten wood on bottom of door open to outside. trash in yard, filthy dishes in kitchen, fish hooks in carpet. didn't know it was upstairs only until day before we got there, which was difficult for my wife. I doubt this place would pass an inspection!」

The owner checked with us via message.Thankfully, the A/C worked well as the temps were in the 90s with high humidity, so we were comfortable in the house at all times. We enjoyed watching river traffic through the large windows and from the new deck furniture in the early mornings!」
