“Great place for our getaway will stay again soon. Just bring bed sheets. pillows and blankets and towels kitchens are full equipped for cooking. Place was big and roomy and cozy Had a fireplace but didn’t use it. The area is under a burn ban at the moment so we wasn’t able to use firepit at nights walking distance to water hole to soak your feet for the time being Leakey about a 10min drive or so. A convenience store is about a 5min drive. Garner State park is about 10min drive as well. Very……

“August 2025 family vacation was great the whiskey mountain Valley Cabins were amazing from check in to check out. Check-in was a breeze. The owners made it very easy and very straightforward with how to check in, they even let us know if that the cabin was ready way before our check in. The kitchen was great. They were fully equipped with utensils, pots and pans they provided a coffee maker and microwave. Everything was great. The cabin was literally like in their description just minutes away……

“We were 10 people. One family of 5 stayed in the bunkhouse, one family upstairs and 1 couple downstairs. We had plenty of room and it was comfortable. There was good water in the river. It is a quiet and peaceful location. We enjoyed our stay and would return. ”

“The unit was exceptionally clean. The wife and I were amazed at how well kept it was even though they allow pets. We had a very relaxing time the four days we were there. ”

“Perfect weekend getaway for a group of friends that love to visit while enjoying the river. This spot was great! Short walk to a perfect place on the Frio. Owners were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Oh and the cowboy pool was a bonus! We will definitely come back! ”

“Great house, had everything we needed for a family of 9, very roomy. House was nice and cool when we arrived...big plus not having to wait to cool down since we had a baby with us. Beds where comfortable. Loved the water pressure! Cute little store right across from us(very reasonable prices)Close to everything... five mins to Leakey and 20 mins to Lost Maples for a morning hike. And 5 mins to relax in the river, which was great cuz it was FREE. The only thing I would suggest is putting some……
