The Met Hotel Leeds - Newly Refurbished

10/10 Excellent

"A great stay with comfortable, modern and spacious rooms. Hotel staff that we spoke to at reception and in the bar were friendly and helpful. Left macaroons in the room for my friends birthday. Used the hotel parking, which is really handy if you can get a space. Only negative was the reception toilets had a strange smell. Would 100% stay again."

"Had a 4 night stay at the hotel. Location is excellent although I didn't know the entrance was around the back. The revolving doors are not useful if you have luggage. Reception staff were good and my high floor request was accommodated. That said one of the lifts was out of order and this queues and wait times were excessive. The room faced the city but on floor 17 had an amazing view. The room however was dated. The dressing table showed signs of wear and the decor was old. The bathroom had a shower over the bath and took a bit of working out how to use. Provided shampoo etc was a good quality. The hotel operated a no clean policy in exchange for drinks tokens but 1 drink for 4 days was not an industry leader. That said it is a initiative I support. Check out was quick and a free luggage hold was offered and welcomed. Overall a great location spoiled slightly by old rooms, lift issues and a not exactly industry leader approach. That said for the price I would return."
