Mountain View and ski in ski out was wonderful. Rooms were very comfy and spacious. Loved the Igloo cold room and dry sauna. An out door and bigger hot tub would fit this hotel vibe much better. Restaurants were quiet and food good but the wine list needed to be revised… the French wine selection was limited… always upselling because the desired wines weren’t available which was very disappointing and irritating…. Change the menu if the wines aren’t available. Overall - the people working at the hotel were wonderful as were the rooms. Breakfast was amazing ❣️Loved the heated locker rooms. Overall a very positive pleasant experience and atmosphere.

Not a 5star or Michelin hotel. The rooms are very small. Cleaning doesn’t even happen until 4 pm. The spa facilities are exaggerated on pictures. Outside pool is tiny. Hamam did not work our entire stay. The shuttle service to places works, but impossible to get shuttle to pick you up on the way back. The restaurant service is unacceptable. Only Casa Alta ikind of ok. Same menu every day . And apparently half board only applies to dinner. Where in the rest of the world it’s a dinner or lunch. Reception service is awful, messages are not passed along, and zero desire to resolve something

I recently stayed at this hotel and many aspects of the experience were enjoyable. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, staff at check-in and breakfast were friendly, and the amenities — particularly the pool, spa, and gym — are good. The ski-in/ski-out location is ideal for exploring the slopes, and the overall vibe of the property is relaxing and stylish. However, I need to be transparent about a serious issue that significantly impacted my stay. During our visit, my AirPods were stolen from the luggage storage room. I became aware of the theft as we were departing for the airport, reported it immediately to the front desk, and asked for assistance and any available security footage. Unfortunately, the response from management was completely unresponsive. I was told someone would call me back, but I received no follow-up communication, and there was no indication that any investigation was initiated. For what should be a serious matter — a theft from a guest’s personal luggage — the lack of accountability or support was both surprising and very disappointing. While many reviews praise the hotel’s style, location, and service, there are some traveler reports that mention concerns about service quality, responsiveness, and accountability from management. Some guests have even described safety or service issues and a lack of adequate follow-through from staff. Overall, I genuinely appreciated a number of what the hotel does well — great rooms, excellent facilitie

We had a fantastic suite overlooking the slopes. The room was of a good size and styled well. Breakfast was good and the bar area and selection of drinks was very good. It is a spa hotel and this lets it down slightly. The spa is very basic and a bit dingy. The pool was also cold. Could do with a refurb in my opinion and this really would be a fabulous hotel. The ski hire was also 3 times the cost of other shops located 2 minutes away. I queried this and was told “it’s a five star hotel” by the staff. Although I get that when it comes to food/ drinks/ service. The skis were much the same as you can get anyway so didn’t warrant the unnecessary cost. I think it was over €100 per day for ski hire which is crazy. A little out the way for walking to the town but they offer a free (we always tipped the driver) service up to where ever you wish to go.

Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year!

A truly ski in ski out experience right off Plein Sud chairlift. Val Thorens is breathtaking and the service is unmatched. Breakfast was included and was lovely every morning inside Casa Alta with a view of the slopes. Two turn down services per day and free ski locker with rentals and room reservation. My driver, Florian, was fantastic and was hired by the hotel to pick me up in Geneva, Switzerland. Great rooms and great value. Trip of a lifetime!

Já é o segundo ano que fico no Altapura, adoro o Hotel. Só tem um ponto a melhorar que sao os restaurantes, eles são péssimos, literalmente 1 estrela. Tirando o café da manha que é ok, os restaurantes precisam melhorar bastante. Fica minha sugestão porque quero voltar ao Hotel outras vezes, mas a comida precisa melhorar bastante.
