“What a beautiful cabin and peaceful retreat! You can tell the cabin was made with patience and love. A great place to pick up and get away right along the river. We will be back!”

“This was a great property! Clean. Plenty of room for everyone. Love the screened porch. There was a big field to the side where we did our “camping Olympics” and great for the dog to run around. The creek was good for floating and there were some nice trails. Close to a grocery store but still completely secluded. Quick communication with the host.WiFi was shoddy- but was better if all of us were not on it at the same time- we don’t use it much anyway. . Would be great to have a better……

“We stayed 2 nights here and loved every minute, wish we had stayed longer! The cabin was quiet, peaceful and secluded so it made for a romantic getaway. The hot tub was on a screened in deck overlooking the woods so we could enjoy the nature without the bugs. The kitchen was fully stocked with just about anything you could need. Plenty of games and books, a DVD player and 2 TVs. The bed was very soft and all the linens and towels smelled and felt fresh and clean. We would love to stay again……

“Beautiful house. Hosts went above and beyond expectations ”

“We stayed for 3 nights. Secluded cabin on the side of a hill up a gravel road from the main road. You could see neighbors, but they were not close. This made it very peaceful to sleep and sit on the great front porch. Although it felt remote, we were less than 10 minutes away from the main entrance to Lake Raystown and 20 or 30 minutes from the Allegrippis mountain biking trails. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for my family of four and would have fit more……

“This property was exceptional, and the Penrod’s were gracious hosts. If you are looking to get away and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of nature, or if you enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and everything outdoors, this place is for you! Sharing this experience with my 3 teenage kids, I never heard once that they didn’t have anything to do. They loved it here and the amenities were everything we needed! ”

“What a great property and home. We saw all kinds of wildlife there. The home has a lot of information of what to do around the Bedford area. Clean and comfortable place to stay. Just remember to bring bug spray, the area all around has a lot of mosquitoes even in Bedford. ”

The house was as described...it was unbelievably clean, the bedrooms were ample size, the living, kitchen/dining areas were just right and the porches, fire pit area and hot tub patio were perfect. The sound of the stream and crackling fire were so relaxing. We hope to visit again.”
