The place was clean and comfortable and in good location.

We had fun in Lisbon. The apartment was nice and had all the amenatis. It was in a good location. The only thing that bothered us was the noise from the street until late at night.

Needs some attention

Correspondence with the owner was excellent. Sonia who met us was very friendly and welcoming. She showed us the amenities in the property and advised us regarding things to see and do in Lisbon. However, the property, though clean, is tired and needs some maintenance and freshening up (mouldy grout and terrible drain smell in the shower room, grubby rug in the bedroom, chipped furniture and paintwork etc). Linens are poor quality and insufficient, only 1 thin bath and hand towel each for a 1 week stay. Pillows provided (1 each) thin and poor quality, filled with foam pieces. The entrance hall and stairs to the 2nd floor are indescribably filthy. They also serve as the only fire exit and are compromised by the first floor tenant storing clothing and a bicycle on the landing. Although the property is in a convenient location for getting around Lisbon and restaurants, the road outside the flat is very noisy from early morning until 1 or 2 am.

Cute and Authentic

Lisbon has become a tourist destination, so it was a welcome treat to be in a place where the apartment and neighborhood retain the flavor of the city. Sophia was friendly as she greeted us promptly, although our arrival time was uncertain. She explained the apartment, and even walked us to a nearby area to show us the better marketing and restaurants. The apartment was a great introduction to Portugal and we enjoyed ourselves there.
