"This litle house on the lake was the perfect getaway from the hubub of daily life. Situated in a peaceful and picturesque locale, the house is small but well appointed, with a full updated kitchen and a nice updated bathroom. We had trouble making the same-day booking, and Amanda (the owner) went out of her way to make it work, for which we were very grateful. Amanda did warn that due to the last minute booking, the place might not have been properly cleaned by the time we arrived, but she managed to get her housekeeper there before our arrival and the place was spotless. We had our 3 dogs with us, and while we travel with our own blankets and sheets to cover furniture wherever we go, it was a nice surprise to find that not only was the furniture already covered with high quality pet coverings, there was even a double dog dish in the kitchen ready for its next hungry and thirsty canine. The location is perfect - far enough away from commerce and traffic to be very quiet and removed, but a quick drive to pretty much anything you need. We even went to a show at the Sharon Playhouse, which was fantastic and actually Broadway quality. Amanda was very responsive to numerous messages sent.Thanks again for making the booking work, Amanda. We hope to revisit your little house on the lake again."
