「The staff and breakfast were excellent. For areas of improvement, the road sign needs a light to illuminate it at night and the plants around it need to be trimmed to improve visibility. 「I stayed here while my son played in the Cooperstown baseball tournament. David was so helpful and friendly, and treated me like family. The view was stunning; I will miss having coffee on the deck overlooking the lake as well as David's amazing breakfasts. Oh, and his cookies were to die for! :)」

I didn’t realize it was a shared bath but that was not a problem since I was the only one there. Perhaps I missed that in the listing. 「We came in for the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Weekend (about 40min away) and stayed at this B&B. The owners are incredibly hospitable, breakfast is great, and the historic home setting is good as well. The drive to Cooperstown is through some gorgeous and serene countryside settings.」

「Having been born and raised in this area, I wasn't familiar with this location when trying to find a place close to family when coming back to visit. The address said Fort Plain, however it's in town of Danube, outside of St. Johnsville, not even remotely close to FP. Mind the location, as that wasn't a big deal to travel back and forth. 「Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked.
