Rooms with problem water supply

We were a group of 10 persons, occupied 5 rooms for staying 2 nights. The hotel generally speaking is a good hotel, with clean and comfortable rooms. However, two of the rooms were found problem in water supply for bathing where only hot (very hot) water supply but no cold water for the shower. When asking for repairing service in the late night, the reply was unfavourable. Until the next morning, only one room could be fixed while the other was settled by changing another room for my friends.

Not a great experience.Very noisy room. Windows need updating as cold draft and traffic noise comes straight in.Doors are unable to be closed quietly so woken up everytime someone closed them.Mattress was very uncomfortable. Fried breakfast was tasteless and bland. Will not stay again. Premier inn is much better for the same price.

Clean rooms and helpful staff. Liked the location as we were visiting family in Bootle and will definitely stay there again. Room just a little small but didn’t take away from the rest of it.

The bed and bathroom were clean and comfortable but the room was dusty. The hem was down on the curtains, USB port and one bedside lamp not working. There was no Housekeeping Service over the two days I was there. Apparently you have to ask for this but nothing to tell you that and I've never had that before in a hotel. The staff were very nice and as helpful as they could be but there was no Receptionist on Sunday or Monday a.m. and no Maintenance all weekend. Dinner is not served after 6pm on a Sunday but there is no information about meal times in the rooms, at Reception or in the Dining Room. The parking is great.

Good location with lots of restaurants and retail shops including an Aldi next door, clean room and Hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Wifi times out sometimes but picks back up quickly. Breakfast was good and other options available. Very handy having 2 restaurants areas in the hotel and the dinner was very delicious.

Read before booking

At check in forced to pay a £50 refundable deposit “refunded when you check out “ they said. I’m now 24 hours later still waiting and they told me when I rang yesterday afternoon that it can take 3-5 days. THIS WAS NOT EXPLAINED WHEN THEY TOOK MY MONEY ! I now have insufficient funds for tonight’s hotel

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The light in the room was not working, and the shower was leaking badly, with water spilling onto the floor and even going down through the ceiling to the ground floor. The room itself was extremely small and congested, definitely not worth the £80 I paid. On top of that, the cleanliness was far below expectations. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this hotel.

Served its purpose

Windowsills and radiator cover were very dusty as was the skirting board behind the bed. Bed pushed to one side so no bedside cabinet on that side and very tight to get into the bed. Would have mentioned to reception on check out but there wasn’t anybody there to tell, just had to leave the card at the desk! £50 deposit on check in I was aware of but be aware you need your physical card to pay this. Food from the bar menu was good quality, although the lasagne portion could have been larger!
