Disappointed.

The Richmond used to be a great property but feels neglected of late. Room given initially was so smelly, asked the manager and to his credit changed the room to something more pleasant. Overall, the cleanliness is not great, lots of visible damage to the hotel, but only stayed for one night so made do. Have stayed before an the hotel does have a nice wing which is newer but rest of it was poor and it's the second time I've needed a room change.

A wonderful Hotel in every sense of the word. Excellent location ,excellent service by charming staff . It takes you back to what Hotels were like in times gone bye. Everything on a Grand Scale. If you are travelling to Liverpool , you should STRONGLY consider this wonderful Hotel.

Staff - 5/5 We arrived early around 12pm and Micheal helped us with checkin. we first got a room on ground floor as that was the only room available when we arrived, but it was not the type of room we were thinking of. we like rooms that have day light coming in and this room was very dark as it had only 1 window. we explained to Micheal, and he was very helpful, understood our needs and reorganized so that we got a different room, but that meant we had to check in at 3pm which was fine. Location - 5/5 5-10 min away from city centre. Which made it easily accessible to food and shopping centre. there is costa , dessert and Turkish restaurant right opposite the hotel. the car park was 2 min walk. Cleanliness- 3/5 Although the room had been cleaned by room service, the utensils had a stench of alcohol. there was dust around the room and the carpet had some sticky bits. we were in the junior suite so it was apartment style room however there was no microwave in the kitchen. There were two sinks in the bathroom and one of them was clogged up with tissues. the bathroom needs ventilation

Room was ok but didnt like the carpets in corridors very worn and messy just felt like it was very out dated and needs improvement plus alot of noise from slamming doors but maybe this cant be helped with fire doors

Okay stay, but rooms would do a renovation

Overall an average hotel, ok for a one night stay. Staff was really helpful. The room is clean, but does look old. Curtains seem 20 years old, phone not working, shower not working properly. The is a huge tv in the room with smart box attached, but wasn’t working either and all the wires were out. Great location, but room could use some renovation.

At the time of our stay the hotel was being used to house homeless and drug dependent people, they were sat on entrance steps throughout tge afternoon and night time begging for money and cigarettes. The corridors smelt constantly of weed Nd there were silver cannisters of gas in the corridors and on window cills. You had no idea if they where in room next to yours making a unpleasant environment to stay in. I personally felt unsafe walking around at night. Although the hotel had door security this did not stop the begging on the steps of the hotel and drug use, the door man talking offense to us not responding to him on one occasion after we'd asked for money coming back in at 10pm at night. If hed been wearing his securit badge and id it would have been easier to identity him from the homeless and drug users.

Nice hotel and room with perfect location

Nice hotel in perfect location in centre of Liverpool. Junior suite with balcony was amazing with ample space and amenities to boot. Comfortable, spacious, clean, what more could you ask for.. Definitely a good option to stay again, no reason not to.

Very strange. Dreadful smell of drains/damp that permeated everywhere, even the bedding. Unbearable heat in the rooms, even when not particularly warm outside. Receptionist was lovely, restaurant not v organised, had to keep asking for things they’d forgotten.

AVOID

1st room was awful, dirty and appliances werent working. Kind lady at desk moved our rooms to a better room. Even then one side if the bed had a sink hole in it and sofa was unusable as base was broke. Stayed here a year ago and had the best experience but this year not good at all. Wouldn't come back or i dont reccomended anyone else go. Room was the same price as a premier inn or travelodge in the same area so i expected the same

This hotel is not just a hotel. It has long term resident families living here. I was subjected to a rave until past 2.30 in the morning as I tried to sleep before a 6 hour drive in the morning. The description states long term renters are here but not the kind you would associate with a hotel described as the signature collection, Misleading to say the least.

We booked a junior suite it didn’t look like the photo on the website and the room wasn’t ready until 3.30pm there were a lot of flies in the room it was very warm and the aircon wasn’t working. The room was clean and comfortable but it would benefit having a mirror in the bedroom area as the only other place was the bathroom so it was hard to use my hair straighteners
