“After an issue with VRBO, we were given this hotel as an alternative accommodation. It was extremely expensive for what is essentially a very cheap, outdated, and poorly maintained hotel. We were given a room for four people with two small beds, and we could barely sleep. All we wanted was to get through the night and leave as quickly as possible. It is disgraceful that VRBO would offer such a hotel as an alternative, especially at such an inflated price. This experience was completely……

“Excellent hostel! I stayed in the Court - I’m a light sleeper and even with earplugs, I woke often as people were coming and going at all hours of the night. Disturbances would likely be less in the other rooms. The facilities, social aspect of the hostel and the staff were top notch! They have activities each day to connect you with others. As a solo traveller, it was incredible and more reason to stay in a hostel. Price was great for Edinburgh and the location cannot be beat!”

“Very comfortable and spacious room and nice to see the addition of a coffee table, but difficult to find a socket for the kettle which was under the TV on a low shelf. (a really daft place to boil a kettle). It needs a little golden tea trolley to get to a socket on the other side of the room. The internet TV kept freezing, looks like a poor wifi signal. We didn't expect too much from the food, which was bland and forgettable and the buffet breakfast was not much better.”
