“After an issue with VRBO, we were given this hotel as an alternative accommodation.
It was extremely expensive for what is essentially a very cheap, outdated, and poorly maintained hotel. We were given a room for four people with two small beds, and we could barely sleep.
All we wanted was to get through the night and leave as quickly as possible.

“Delightful. The hostess goes out of her way to assist walkers. Little things, like putting transferred luggage into guests’ rooms, mean such a lot at the end of a long day’s walking. Delicious scones on arrival and very nice breakfast. Lots of tips for the West Highland Way.”

“Excellent hostel! I stayed in the Court - I’m a light sleeper and even with earplugs, I woke often as people were coming and going at all hours of the night. Disturbances would likely be less in the other rooms.
The facilities, social aspect of the hostel and the staff were top notch! They have activities each day to connect you with others. As a solo traveller, it was incredible and more reason to stay in a hostel. Price was great for Edinburgh and the location cannot be beat!”
