"The rooms was smaller than we had expected and there is no kitchen, just a fridge. There is a sink out in the bath house, and a gas grill outside. The lack of a kitchen was not great, but the area is great, the owners very nice and very helpful and I would go back. I would just prepare better for no kitchen."

"Our party of 3 couples and one bachelor had an incredible time at this gorgeous property! The kitchen was well-stocked, furniture was comfy, beds and bedding were great. There was plenty of room to gather in one place or to find separate spaces for down time. When we weren't catching fish off the dock - at one point 5 of us had fish on at the same time! - we gathered in the game room to play pool and hang out. Owners were great to work with. Best property that we have stayed on at Grand Lake!"

"The house is very beautiful and comfortable also well outfitted with dishes, pot and pans. We like to cook when we stay. The walk to and from the water is steep but the stairs and ramps are well maintained. Our adult children enjoyed the kayaks and fishing off the dock."

"This place was absolutely wonderful! We caught lots of fish at the dock (crappie, cats)! But, and its a BIG but.....the stairs and steepness to the water is NO JOKE, NOT for the faint of heart."

"My husband and I loved our stay at Arky’s Cabin. The setting is quiet and lovely with deer in the meadow and lovely flowers gracing the yard. The cabin was clean and well appointed. The decor was fun and really cool filled with old time memorabilia. There is even a record player! We loved the place and would definitely stay again."

"The lake house was as described. As mentioned, the driveway is steep, only our all-wheel drives could climb the hill. The dock was very nice and fishing was great. We caught perch, catfish, carp and drum all from the dock; white and largemouth bass in the cove."

"We absolutely enjoyed our time here! We stayed 3 nights which allowed us to enjoy all of the amenities! The cave has a beautiful natural spring, the hiking trail was well kept, the hot tub was up to maintenance, there were several activities, house keeping rules were easy and clear, and the host answers back very quickly. She also emailed us about a storm in advance and how/where to take shelter. I overall enjoyed the experience and the host was easy going! We will likely be back in the future!"

"What started out as a camping trip turned in to me renting this air conditioning home for my family to spread out and enjoy time at the lake, with our own personal dock. My husband even set up a tent in the backyard for the boys next to the fire pit, which ended up being our evening hang out spot. The winding roads and trees made you feel secluded which was great despite having neighbors close by. My husband took the boys swimming on the dock which they loved. Bring life jackets for the kids....

"If you are looking for a remote getaway, this is the property for you. It's a beautiful, clean home with everything you need to prepare meals. The view of the river is lovely and we saw deer, rabbits, and even a bald eagle. However, be aware that the last 20 minutes of the drive is on gravel roads. The only disappointment was that there was no river access, so we had to leave the property each day and drive 30-40 minutes to a public access location. We had hoped to swim and fish at the property...
