The property was nice and clean. My room was clean as well. Only complaint is the shower head was old and outdated. The water was spraying everywhere. Thats my only issue with the room. Replace shower heads to newer ones. But other than than. I like that it had a mini fridge and microwave. Desk to eat at chair/sofa to sit on. My only other complaint was the night shift guy i think his name was mike. He was rude. And should not be working in customer service. I was leaving at 8:45 pm. And they were fliming the next day so they blocked off bunch spots with cones. And i saw only 2 empty spots available. So im like hmm let me pop in and see if there will be parking for when i return since i was gonna be out past 12. I popped in. Mike was on his laptop. No hi how's it going nothing. He seemed bothered that i was bothering him with a simple question. I said hey will there be parking when i return. Hes like uuhh probably. I didnt ask a probably question. It was a yes or no. Could have simply responded with yes. If there isnt we will make room for you or something. Im like well they said there will be parking for the quest to accommodate them filming. So i just wanted to make sure. And he replied with a smart remark uh yeah there filming tomorrow. He was just rude over all. And should not be in that position. Then the following day i left around 9pm. Hes staring out the door looking like a creep. He left with im assuming his gf for a late night walk like he wasnt at work to do a job

I just needed a clean and safe room. It came through in flying colors. The staff was precise. The night mgr, day mfr, and the 2 maids I tan i to were simply polite people. Two thumbs up for that.

Very convenient and central location. Alfredo was very helpful in making recommendations to see things and andwerec questions we had. Cool to hear movies that were filmed in the restaurant there. 10 minute drive to various places - Universal Studios, LA Zoo, Warner Brothers Stidio, etc. Rooms were a bit worn but heard they are being refreshed and I am sure once it is done they will look nice. Beds were comfy but room was a bit tight. We choose it for the location and it delivered.

The owners are very nice. Breakfast was fine, coffee good. The bed in our room the first night had a huge broken down "hole" and they moved us the next night to another room. Bed was comfortable. The furniture is worn, but the place is very clean. There were leaking shower faucets in both rooms. They were working on plumbing issues. Outside area is nice. Overall seemed like good value for the area.

Checkin was great, gave good directions, was clean. Property is older, so a bit run down but felt safe. Ice machine never worked and housekeeping kept taking our clean extra towels, other than that, would stay here again.

Our breakfast hours have changed from 7am - 10am to 7am - 9:30am we have a very good variety for our guests to enjoy at no extra cost, a family of four will probably end up paying 100 or more at any of the local restaurants, imagine the bill for a multi night stay.Coffee and cold drinks are available throughout the day in our lobby during normal lobby hours. It was a welcome surprise to see the restaurant in front being used as a filming location. Breakfast is always just enough. Walkable to a park and lots of food places. Driveable to even more shopping. Great location! I enjoyed chatting with the gentleman at the front desk about some of the shows and movies that filmed there.

Frank's Restaurant primary function now days is being a filming location, it has always been filming friendly and has been in many many movies, tv shows, commercial and many other projects. Many famous people have walked these grounds. We like to think of it as bringing Hollywood to our guests. Our guests are more curious rather than bothered once they find out there will be filming during their stay. Although filming may be taking place, our guests are always our number one priority. Amy, Sorry you were unhappy with the location since we do not have a pool, you were also unhappy that we declined to cancel your reservation free of charge under the circumstances.It is very unfortunate that you lied to Expedia and gave us a bad rating due to the lack of this amenity which we do not advertise anywhere as having. We had a decent stay for two nights. The room was clean, and nothing made us feel it was dirty or cleaned poorly. It was bigger than others we've stayed at, so we didn't feel cramped. Had a good view of our car in the lot, and seeing all the security cameras, plus the screen in the lobby showing them all, made us feel a little bit safer. There were some negatives. The A/C machine was a bit noisy. Water pressure from the sink was very high, having to slowly turn it on or risk splashing, which our kids were not good at doing. TV remote barely works, having to hit the same button multiple times to get it to work, some buttons never worked. Maybe bad batteries or bad remote? Noise from the street wasn't too bad, except an ambulance just once luckily. I don't know if it was a homeless person or someone else staying the night, but at 1am someone was banging against metal with what sounded like a metal bat, and shouting something. I checked through the window but never saw anyone. Just made us nervous for a bit. The breakfast has good selection of cereal, microwavable breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, and other minor things. Although they ran out of hot chocolate after a guy filled his tumbler with 3 packets and his kids too. So our kids were disappointed when they didn't have anymore. I think personal tumblers shouldn't be allowed, and stick to one of the provided cups. Parking is free and just a 10 minute drive from universal studios. We would consider staying again.

Our guests safety is our number one priority, we monitor the cameras and do security checks as well as noise control in order to be proactive, we were aware of the noise mentioned above, it was someone passing by and quickly left, we continued to monitor to assure they were gone and no longer an issue. The TV system is in the process of being upgraded to Fiber TV, we are told everything will work much better including the quality of the picture as well as the remotes since we will no longer need sensors on the TV in order for the remote to work. (This should be completed mid May) Our breakfast does have a very nice variety for all our guests to enjoy, we are also in the process of setting some guidelines as to what is acceptable and what is not in order to keep those that abuse of the breakfast and drinks from doing so, luckily most guests are very modest and don't take more than it is reasonable.We thank you for feedback and please know we gave the maintenance team your concerns regarding the room for them to quickly address.Thank you again and we welcome you to visit us again soon. The sheets had some dark spots and the towels were too small for a shower and finally, once you enter the room it smells humidity, but turn on AC or open windows helps little bit.

Fantastic 2 night stay. Friendly and welcoming. Room was nice and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable but mattress was quite worn down on the one side. Air conditioner was very noisy. All in all we still slept quite well.

Alfredo took care of me to double check when I would be checking in since there was some travel time. This part of Hollywood has the retro charm, felt completely safe, and was near the best high end Mexican restaurant Don Cumo ever. Hotel is a classic but has been totally renovated and maintained. Free parking, free breakfast, near Universal and old Hollywood charm. Neighborhood is really cute!
