"Everything was perfect and magical and exactly as we'd hoped. We were welcomed by mince pies and chocolate and a cottage all lit up with fairy lights for Christmas, and felt just as warmly welcome throughout our week there. Anne and Willie are so kind and generous, even to the point of Willie driving my son up to a trailhead on Christmas morning because it was hard to find. The cottage is quaint and charming and has the delicious ambience of the traditional 200 year old stone cottage that it is - and yet is also warm and cosy, with heated floors and a fireplace that is really easy to use. The massive freestanding tub upstairs was lovely, tucked under a window with glorious views. Everything we needed was there, from kitchen items to books to toiletries. The beds are comfy, there are two bathrooms (the ensuite one has a huge shower) and the location can't be beat - in the countryside that is so quiet you can hear yourself breathe, with zero light pollution, so the stars at night are spectacular. Views of fields and sheep out every window, with mountains in the distance. A 7-minute drive to the Glenveagh National Park, which blew us away. 20 minutes to the big town of Letterkenny. And we explored everywhere - even with only short winter days we managed to visit many different spots on different coastlines. I can't imagine how our stay could have been better. It was all we'd hoped for, and more. This cottage is a little piece of Donegal heaven. Thank you so much, Anne and Willie"
