"We had stayed at this property 12 years ago and enjoyed it immensely. So for our reunion this year in Skibbereen I was happy to be able to find this property again. It again did not disappoint! The location is spectacular. Rooms were comfortable and neatly appointed. Seamus was always available if needed and checked in on us. "My brothers family and mine stayed here for a family reunion! This home was the perfect pick! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms as well as shared family areas! The home was up a hill and the views were incredible. We also had a donkey and horse that came to visit daily! It was very clean and cozy and we all had the best time. "So surprised at this place, did not expect as much as it had to offer, it was beautiful! Food was delicious, staff friendly, everything you’d expect from an Irish hotel. Breakfast was the best (apart from my sisters house) I’ve had on my whole three week trip, through various parts of the country. Pauline, my breakfast waitress was excellent, courteous, friendly and had a word for everyone she met. A treasure."

A perfect spot for a week or a month
"As a VRBO Host and an owner of a guest house I can sometimes have my expectations not met. I had the pleasure of staying for 3 weeks at the cottage. its well equipped with anything you might need for a relaxing holiday. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, fireplace, salon and a real working kitchen with most everything you need. close enough to the pub and food shop but far enough away to feel isolated. It a real Irish home with out the bells and whistles you might get at a more modern/commercial property. Kathleen and Jack are great hosts, they are less than 1 k away… good communication and very friendly."
