Many events around the town make Lucca to an excellent destination all year long. Just to mention a few ones: „Lucca comics and games“ for the lovers of „cartoons“, the lyric season during October/November, the religious and classical concerts in the various churches from April to June, „Settembre Lucchese“ with many folkloric events, the summer festival during July and August, a huge amount of markets and the famous market of antiques, which takes place every 3rd weekend of a month. Several art cities of Tuscany are within an easy reach.
