“Four of us (2 adults and two teens) had a great stopover in Como. Beautiful, clean apartment in excellent location. Just about everywhere is walkable and there’s lots of nice places to eat, drink and shop in the immediate vicinity. Check in was easy, just needed to touch base with Marco before arriving. My Italian isn’t great but his English was impeccable. He is an excellent host! Would be more than happy to recommend. ”

“Pros: Beautiful 15th century estate, renovated in most parts, nice staff, beautiful garden and outdoor pool, comfy beds, spacious bathroom. Many spots to relax by tall trees and enjoy the garden. All doors have security codes and the whole area feels very safe. Cons: Presence of Spiders and Mosquitos as expected from an estate in the middle of a garden, the restaurant needs a booking in advance and you can not just show up and that is understandable too, breakfast is good but not many options. ”

“This was a magnificent find! Very small and quaint, with exceptional service. It is off the beaten path, and about 15 minute walk from crowded, bustling Bellagio. Much of the hike is uphill and on stairs, so beware of carrying luggage. Taxis are hard to find, and our host was kind enough to drive us to an early ferry upon departure (for a fee). Definitely recommend a room with a balcony. We didn’t include breakfast, but added a couple during our stay. Lovely to have in the garden, but……
