Great Stay!

Everything we hoped for in a weekend trip! The house smelled like cedar, was clean and very ample space. The hot tub was easy to operate; kitchen appliances helped cut down on eating out costs - would highly recommend and plan on making a reservation again!

Peaceful and beautiful cabin stay

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet easily accessible with well-maintained roads. The cabin itself was beautiful, pristine, and exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable, making for restful nights, and we especially loved starting our mornings on the front porch in the rocking chairs, enjoying coffee and the fresh air. The yard was lovely, with great amenities like a fire pit, grill, corn hole boards, and a hot tub that kept us warm on chilly evenings. This place truly exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting.

Just right!

This cabin was great! It was very clean, well cared for and had everything we needed. The jacuzzi was a welcomed added perk that we enjoyed at the end of active days of hiking or fishing. The fall colors were spectacular! I had to contact the owner to ask a question and she answered on the first ring and was so helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

This property was awesome, I highly recommend it. It was very clean and new. It had all the necessities you could want. It was very quiet which is what we were looking for. The hot tub was perfect, clean. We spent many hours in it. Thanks to the owners. You can tell they take great care and pride in their property.

Country charm

Quiet, relaxing place to stay. Clean and was as described. Only thing that would have made the stay better would have been ceiling fans in the bedrooms with end table and lamps on both sides of the bed and better pillows (they were pretty flat). None of this was a game changer. Would definitely stay here again.

Long weekend stay

The Outpost cabin was a great size for 2 couples traveling to visit Shenandoah National Park. The interior was clean and despite some chilly weather, we never felt cold inside. We enjoyed a couple of fires in the fire pit, the clouds even parted for some stargazing! The cabin is about 30 minutes from the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah, so allow a little extra time to get there. Our only issue was that the VRBO listing does not say anything about providing your own linens (bath towels, sheets, and blankets). I have never stayed at a VRBO which required this. Once we arrived, and discovered this, I contacted the host about renting them, however, the response was that none were available. I hope the listing is edited to make this obvious so that no other renters get caught in this situation. We checked back on the VRBO amenities list for the cabin and did not see anything about needing to supply linens. This did not dampen our fun at the Outpost!

Beautiful, Clean Cabin

What a fantastic stay. The place is beautiful and extremely clean. It has that fantastic wood smell, is comfortable, has WiFi, a great TV, and is 20mins from anything you could need. We will be back for sure.

Great Cabin!

We stayed at this cabin for a long weekend and it was great. Nice private and quiet. Loved the hot tub. Fully equipped kitchen was nice to have. You do have to bring your own towels, sheets , and bath soaps which they do tell you ahead of time. The location was perfect for the National park and caverns. River outfitters for tubing and kayaking was a few minutes away. Definitely recommend this cabin!

Beautiful and Relaxing

Very nice. Would have been better if there was access to firewood, coffee, bath soap and towels/linens. We tried contacting the property manager to inquire about smart tv connection to watch a movie but no one got back to us. Otherwise, I’d enjoyed Mother’s Day weekend at the cabin.

A True Gem! Cozy, Charming, and close to everything!

This is probably my 5th time staying at this property. We like to get out to the area once a year for hiking at Skyline Dr. and getting some relaxation time in the hot tub. The host is always amazing, the property is extremely well taken care of and the cabin is stocked with everything you need. Don't pass this one up!

Amazing experience

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was secluded and peaceful, the cabin was very clean, and the hosts were extremely communicative and the best hosts I've experienced in all the time I've rented. We will definitely be back!!
