The cabin was beautiful and clean. The view is incredible! Loved the fire pit and hot tub! The hosts were wonderful. Homemade apple butter and bread waiting for us. Will rent again!

Beautiful and Serene

Coming around that bend to see that beautiful cabin with the mountains in the background was a sigh of relief the moment we arrived. Just married, my wife and I were really looking forward to this trip away from the craziness of the past few weeks. We entered the building simply enough and it was extremely clean inside, WITH everything we needed to maintain that cleanliness during our stay. We had brought some stuff with us but were pleased to find resources already available. The owners were wonderful and came to greet us shortly after we had arrived. They were pleasant and kind people who gave us an amazing welcome gift as a thank-you for choosing them and their cabin. Everything worked just as advertised. A big selling point for us was the hot tub. It worked perfectly fine, didn't have any sort of gross film, and had a front-row seat to an expansive view of the sky and mountains. There's plenty to do in the local town of Luray, and good lord is the food good here. There are so many locally-owned restaurants and they can COOK man. My recommendations 1. Ollies, their fries are fantastic. 2. Anthony's will deliver to the cabin and their stromboli was great. 3. Alexanders had a great breakfast. But the Birdsong pleasure garden is 0 the place to go if you have time. You have to call and make an appointment, but the couple who run it are very pleasant and it is one the most beautiful places you'll ever see. All in all a great trip, I hope to come back with my kids!

Beautiful cabin views

This was such a great experience! The views were even better in person and able to look at from the hot tub. The inside was nicer than what the pictures even show. Everything was clean and all the needed amenities were there. Would absolutely love to come back!

A Fun and Peaceful Getaway

My friends and I were looking for a fun and peaceful getaway weekend in the country, and the Old Wagon Road cabin was the perfect place for it. The location is great, nestled right between the Massanutten and Blue Ridge mountain ranges and the towns of Luray and Sperryville. There was fabulous hiking within short driving distances and the cabin itself was clean and well-provisioned. Perhaps the best feature was the gorgeous mountain view from the cabin’s back yard and hot tub. It was hard to beat admiring the mountains and the stars from the hot tub after a long day of hiking.

Everything was 5 stars! The views are gorgeous, the property and house are very clean, nice little touches everywhere! We booked this place for the views, seclusion, and hot tub. It surpassed expectations and is a weekend to remember.

Relaxing!

The mountain views and hot tub were my favorite! Waking up each morning to the sunrise and then a fire each evening. Close enough to town and hiking but the feel of a private location.

Amazing retreat in the mountains!

Fantastic stay, amazing views relaxing by the fire pit. Very secluded and quiet. Cabin was clean and spacious, great amenities and very well cared for by the owners. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway.

Super clean! Incredibly comfortable. Beautiful view! I usually don’t like to soak in “public” hot tubs, but this one I was able to enjoy every day, knowing it was perfectly clean.

Clean, comfortable cabin

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s a new build and nicely laid out. The beds are comfortable and the cabin is immaculate. The surrounding grounds are lovely including a hot tub view of the mountains. Owners are lovely and very responsive. This was a perfect place to relax after a very difficult year.

Second visit, just as great!

Beautiful and convenient location

The property was gorgeous and felt remote while still being a convenient 15 min drive into luray for groceries. It was also great that it was easy to walk from the cabin to/on various logging roads. We had a great stay!

Perfect and then there are the great details!

This place checked every box: convenient, secluded, clean, and well-appointed. And then we got there and were pleasantly surprised with just how everything has been thought of. Both the house and the outdoor area are brimming with details that made the stay perfect.
