Mammoth Motocross Annual Trip

The condo was close to the Motocross Track and every convince; shopping, restaurants, golf, movies. They provided everything needed to have the comforts of home. The condo was very clean with ample space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely consider this condo for our trip next year.

Comfortable for a quick stay

Great communication for the road shut down - worked great for the adult kids and us to sneak away for a few days. Wish the weather would have been better.

Good locatiion

People upstairs were nice and not loud as reported in an older review. Place was nice and clean. Bedroom with bunks for two kids.

Really nice.

It is a nice small apartment, and it was perfect for our family of 4. It is on the ground floor ( no need to carry your ski in the stairs). It was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the Wifi worked perfectly. It is very well located on the green line, 5 minutes drive to Eagle Lodge. I am warmly recommending this stay, and I will book it again.

Nice Condo

Great place. Only minor issue was the heater in the bedroom making ticking noise for a little bit after it has automatically turned off waking us up in the middle of the night. Great place otherwise. Would stay again. Thanks.

Good stay

The property was good. Enough space for all of us, had all the utensils, towels, etc. The only thing I would recommend is to remove the microwave that is not working. There are two in the apartment, but one is not working, just taking space. The other thing, the drain in the shower was plugged before we use the bathroom, so when we used it, the water stayed and drained very slowly. It would be good to check it in advanced.Overall the stay was very pleasant, the communication with the host was great, very responsive and kind. I would definitely stay again.

Great service

The host was very responsive to our needs, whether it was sending a loaner microwave when the one in unit wasn't working or getting a snow shovel, extra keys for my friend, or extra matches and fire starter to us. When looking for the hot tub, the host also made sure to text me a map and let me know I needed to bring my key to get in. The place was clean and cozy - the perfect place to wait out a crazy storm. Very close to the slopes as well. We had a lovely stay!

Nice get away

Overall our stay was very enjoyable! Clean, lots of amenities, good location. Only downside: the foldout bed/couch was broken. We were still able to sleep on it but it was not very comfy and very difficult to pull out/put back.

Nice ground floor unit.

Clean and well equipped. Check-in was painless once we found the office. We appreciated the ground-floor location. The unit had some nice upgrades. Thankfully bath towels were included (not listed). Since we were just two, we didn't try the sofa bed or bunks. We appreciated the bedroom dresser. The location was convenient for our summer activities. Note--the hair drier did not work and a couple overhead lights were inoperable. As described, the pool, etc were out of service.

Excessive Noise

Unit was very clean and well supplied. Our main complaint was the neighbors above the unit were very loud. From time to time we could hear screaming (not sure if they had small children).

Great Location

We had great stay at another Horizons 4 property, especially in this unit. The location and unit are perfect for a family of four. Walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and extremely close to the free mammoth shuttle. The unit has all the necessary amenities to stay and cook/eat in. We had a little hiccup with the internet/WiFi not working, however the local property manager immediately addressed it and work the issue until it was resolved. The gentlemen that helped (Miguel) was so polite and attentive the two/three times he came to address and troubleshoot the problem, that my children got excited then next time there was a knock at the door (me returning from store) and shouted “Yay Miguel’s back!”. All in all a great stay and hope to be back

Good: nice location near restaurants and shops off of Old Mammoth Road; cozy space, useful ski and boot storage nook in hallway, near ski shuttle. Bad: Abominable communication and check-in. The instructions are unintelligible, giving an access code which is actually for a lockbox at an office located blocks away in a shopping center (but no address given for the office!). I managed to arrive at the office anyway, and the lockbox was empty, no key. The way to get into the condo is by an access code on a key pad on the door, but they don't give you the freakin access code. This was the Three Stooges and is an ongoing problem they won't fix, judging from past reviews.

Loved the Location

The property was just as advertised. However they should have notified me that there was construction going on. Both of the units adjacent to mine had flooring repairs going on and the roof was being done while I was there. The property management should have informed me of the roof replacement, I don't think they knew about the flooring work in the adjacent units until after the work was in progress. That being said, the property itself is really nice. This is the second time I have stayed there (not in the same units). Needs more propane barbeques on the property. Could have been higher rating if the construction was not going on.

Excellent

Overall excellent. Very spacious, and much bigger than pictures lead you to believe. The kitchen had what I needed to prepare all meals and snacks. Plenty of fire wood on the porch, although there’s no kindling, but easily taken care of with a quick stop at the hardware store for a hatchet. The master bed is quite firm, but there’s not really a “one size fits all” type mattress. There’s a vanity in the master bedroom, so I guess that’s why it’s advertised a 1 1/2 bath, but that’s not accurate. The bunk bed area is very spacious and the entry/mud room area is a highlight . The fireplace worked great, but the firebox blower seemed to only operate on high. All heat registers and heater in the living room worked well. Bath is stocked with hotel sized shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Very clean. This place is definitely my first option when I plan a return trip to mammoth. As close as you can get to the green line, and just a short walk to Vons.
