“My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained from the moment we arrived. The grounds were beautiful, clean, and had so much outdoor space to enjoy. We loved being able to walk around, take in the scenery, and use the bikes available to ride around Manteo! It was such a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. Every staff member greeted us and was so welcoming. We especially want to shoutout the staff member who was working Friday morning (7/17).……

“The shower door would not stay shut. The parking lot was in bad repair. The back building where we stayed was very old and in bad condition. No elevator!”

“Absolutely loved this location. I have never stayed here before and took a chance and it was so nice. Beautiful grounds and nice quiet atmosphere. The breakfast pass at the Dunes was amazing. The only downfall is there are no elevators so if you are on the 3rd floor (like we were) you have to climb the stairs, which wasn't a problem for us but may be for some people. Definitely would stay there again.”

“Upon first entry of the hotel there was a strong septic odor. I mentioned this to Elizabeth at the front desk (who was extremely helpful) and she stated that when they do a lot of laundry the septic smell is more pronounced. This should have been my sign. The first room we were given had mold on the ceiling. The second room had a slow drain in the sink and the sink nor the tub appeared to have been cleaned. The sink had hair and the tub had black liquid of some sorts. The windows needed to be……

“The hotel was lovely and great for the kids. There is both an indoor and outdoor pool, so you can swim regardless of weather. The breakfast includes basic items like bagels, muffins, cereal, waffles, yogurt, eggs, sausages and juice. It was wonderful to have direct beach access, which is also private for the hotel. The room was spacious and had all the necessities. Would absolutely recommend!”

“Was not posted or anything explained beach view was upstairs with no elevator. I would not have booked here. Pictures look like one level. Staff did not care about mobility issues when i asked for 1st level.”

“Had a great experience! Nicole at the bar and food did amazing and was super nice!! Only thing was the wifi was a bit tedious, you have to reinput the information in every single time you come back from exiting the hotel, and the parking was a little tough just cause there were some bigger trucks parked on the sides overnight and had some trouble squeezing in, but nothing bad at all! Would stay again :)”
