Wonderful Stay

The cabin was so nice! Everything from the hot tub, the outdoor shower, and the swing beside the river was PERFECT! The bottle of wine and pumpkin bread was an added and nice suprise! Thank you for a wonderful getaway spot!

Lovely stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. We especially appreciated all of the thoughtful touches like the wine, pumpkin bread, and books for kids on the coffee table.

Cabin at the river

The cabin was great, loved the location along the river. Enjoyed the large deck, grill, and hot tub. Property was very clean and had everything we needed. Thanks for the great stay.

Beautiful property & Beautiful location

Warm & cozy inside. Spectacular deck/patio with a fireplace my husband wants in our yard. Comfy beds, equipped kitchen, everything we needed.

Stay 8/19-8/23

We came to Ohio at the request of our son who chose that as his vacation spot. We really enjoyed the beauty of the state. The cabin was perfect. It had everything we needed and was exceptionally neat and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the kayaks. We found many things to do in the area and the weather was perfect. Many thanks to the hosts!!

Short Getaway

We had a great time at this property for a short, out of town celebration. Our dog enjoyed the yard to run around, and we were so glad to find a property that catered to dogs. You can tell the owners of this property put time into the details and personal touches to make guests feel at home. Thanks again for an amazing stay!

Tranquil

If you are looking to get away, this is a great, tranquil spot. As I got out of the car and approached the cabin it smelled like honeysuckle outside. Spent most of our time on the back deck taking in the scenic views, relaxing in the hottub, playing ball with the dogs, and just enjoying nature. Perfect spot off the beaten path would definitely come back!

Loved it

We had a great time, definitely recommend. As soon as you walk in you feel very welcomed, home made bread, soft music and some wine! The hot tub is enjoyable and my kids loved the outdoor shower. Sure, the traffic on the road is close but it doesn't make the stay unbearable. Thank you again for it all.

Cozy, clean, and comfy!

This cabin is a gem! Clean, beautiful backyard nestled up against a lazy river. Easy to get to with good phone reception. Hot tub was very relaxing. Huge back deck. Beds were very comfortable. We stay at a different cabin every year (usually in Hocking Hills) but this cabin may very well be our favorite so far!

Nice stay

It was a nice place and good value for the price and we really liked the hot tub, deck lights, backyard, and creek on the property. Nearby Mount Vernon had everything we needed and there were nice parks and trails. Loved the Amish bakery close to Danville. It was great we could have our dogs with us. As another reviewer mentioned, it is very close to a busy road and you need to be careful when turning out of the driveway.

Graduation Trip

We were visiting the area for our grandson's graduation from MVNU in Mt. Vernon. Our daughter and son-in-law stayed with us at the cabin. We were very comfortable at the cabin. The beds were comfortable which is unusual in a rental. There was plenty of paper goods for our week long stay. An added bonus to the cabin was a washer and dryer with laundry detergent supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck with the fire pit and hot tub. The view from the deck of the green lawn and river was very relaxing. We were able to have a small gathering to celebrate the graduation. The young people had a wonderful time playing games in the yard and using the hot tub. Thank you Al and Sue for allowing us to stay at your beautiful cabin.

Wow is all I can say!!! ❤️❤️

We loved this place!!! From the moment we stepped inside, relaxation just washed over us! They had simple little touches that meant a lot. The kitchen is fully stocked and they have everything you need provided. We could have packed so much lighter!! We were worried about car noise from the busy road but it wasn't an issue. The hot tub got hot and the fire pit was beautiful! We enjoyed the outdoor shower and the river of course! So awesome that we could tie up and float in the water and we were able to kayak and get out right at our cabin! So much yard space for outdoor games. We will definitely be going back! Thanks so much for making our mini getaway one to remember! 😊

Peaceful country Setting

My husband said when we got to Owl Creek Cabin that I nailed this one! It was easy to find, very inviting with deck, lawn, outdoor furniture and swing by the river and birds singing. When we entered it was all updated, new kitchen updates, living room with comfy sofa and love seat, bathroom updates very modern and bedrooms were very nice, one opening on the back side of the deck. There were windows in every room that made it very bright and welcoming with easy to use blinds to close at night if you chose. All in all it was so comforting and relaxing for both of us. Good time to get a new lease on life. Thank you for the R and R that we had. Jim and Kathy

The Hidden Gem In Howard Ohio!

Our stay was from 09/07/24 to 09/10/24 This was a wonderful place to to get away from the stress of everyday life and enjoy some privacy and nature. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay and then some. My wife and I like to leave anywhere we stay as we found it , and everything was there and available to allow us to clean things as we went. We really enjoyed the swing by the river, and the fishing was excellent. Didn't get to try the kayaks due to it being a chillier than expected stay. But the hot tub and the fire pit, and the supplied board games filled our time. Great cabin, perfect setting and plenty to do. Just wanted to give a big "Thank You!" to Al and Sue for putting the time, money and effort into creating a space that allows people like us to reconnect with each other and enjoy nature. It was an excellent place for us to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Thanks again, and we cant wait to return. Dave and Kim K.

Great Anniversary Get-Away

My husband and I had a great time at the cabin. Everything was comfortable and welcoming. We were greeted by soft music, home made (zucchini?) bread, and wine. My son stayed for a night and we kayaked a bit. The water was way low, but it was still fun. Loved the large fire "pit" on the deck! We couldn't get the deck lights to work, but it may have just been a battery issue. We didn't complain, so they had no chance to help us out. Not their fault! It is right on a busy state highway, but the traffic noise wasn't bothersome. Just be aware that there are a LOT of little step up and step downs throughout the house and deck. We started yelling step, step at each other whenever we moved around, lol. Would love to stay again.

Nice,cute, and clean.

Very nice place with surprising touches like a huge shower (indoor and out) and cool furniture. It was very clean. Plenty of room for a family. The deck is huge with plenty of seating. What I liked the best about the deck was it had a gate so all except small dogs would not escape. The draw back was the road. It is close to the road although not very visible due to trees, therefore pretty private. But it’s a busy road and noisy. It wasn’t very noticeable inside but outside it is. At times it is loud depending on the time of day and truck traffic. We live in the country so it was hard for us to block out the traffic sounds. If you can look past that the place is a very solid five stars. The owners did a great job making this a nice get away place.

Beautiful get-away

Check in was very easy however we passed the house getting there. That could have been our maps. Everything you could possibly need was there and then some. The extras were beyond fantastic. The only reason I gave four stars to cleanliness was because there was something in the hot tub. They messaged me back immediately and sent the cleaner out. Turns out it was just a little piece of deck paint. Not a big deal. The only reason for four stars on location was because the main road was very loud during the day. There was almost no traffic there in the evening and it was extremely peaceful. Of course we used the hot tub and took the kayaks out. The wine and the pumpkin bread were just fantastic! Very attentive hosts. Definitely would recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed the deck, the fire pit and the hot tub.

Relaxing and watching people float down the river.
