“Room was clean, no one at front desk had to call a number, was there 3 days room never got cleaned while staying. The outdoor shower at pool to rinse sand off feet was broke. So had sand tracked in our room and room never got cleaned while we was out. Asked staff for extra towels and she didn’t speak English. But let me get 2 towels off her cart. Very convenient to beach right across from public beach access. Cute older motel worked perfect for just sleeping. Didn’t know there was quite time……

“I stay here a lot. The traveling band I play with plays in OBX much of the summer.Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is good for someone looking to spend time on the beach. The free breakfast is always a good way to start the day. I will continue to stay here as long as I visit the OBX.”

“We stayed one night at the Seahorse, and the biggest advantage is definitely the location. It’s right by the pier and only about a two-minute walk to the beach, making it incredibly convenient if you want easy beach access.
The motel itself has potential. Our room was spacious and included a kitchenette, which was a nice bonus. However, everything felt very dated. The cleanliness was questionable, and there was a noticeable odor in the room that made the stay less comfortable.

“I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days.
We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. Unlike most beach motels, parking was NEVER an issue! We always had a spot close to the room.
