Spring trip to the Keys

This was our first time staying in Marathon after approximately 20 years staying in the lower Keys! The house was amazing, bed was comfortable and house and pool were great!

Great stay in Marathon

House was great, pool was terrific! Was in awe of all the fruit trees growing on the property! Definitely wanted to stay longer but the real world was calling. Highly recommended property!!

very nice house

Property was great, pool was nice and plenty of dock space, only downside was no curtains in the living room too much glare and no down stairs bathroom. could use some instructions on the master tub, it looked very relaxing, I would give it a 4.5 out of 5

Marathon Key Vacation

The property was exactly what we hoped for. The pool and patio area had the feel of a vacation resort. Having deep water access made it possible to rent a boat for a couple days. Also, even though Sombrero Beach is under renovations and improvements, it's a great sandy beach in walking or biking distance. Once they complete the improvements it will be a fantastic beach. We look forward to renting this property again....

Great house...Sub-par mgmt company

Leslie is mgmt company not the home owner. Never informed about 8 person limit or city ordnance, late check out option, or that boat dock in neighborhood was private. Unprofessional/rude in office Tried rushing me through paperwork without giving me a chance to read it all. Switches in house need labels Many light bulbs out in & outdoors Right sink in master bath clogged Ice maker did not dispense cubes or crushed Flood light over pool out Fountain in pool not operable standing water attracts mosquitoes and “no sees ums” Lamp in master has a short turn it on and it shuts off Several inches of standing water in carport at entrance gate Called mgmt about $5000 bathtub that didnt work, with no instructions, display not operable. Tub randomly comes on. Maintenance guy admittedly had no clue how to operate the bathtub. I called but never even knew the guy showed up. Later emailed the tub installation manual. We were on vacation - mgmt companies job to know the house & operation of things in home. Second call to mgmt - A/C not working properly, wrong size filter in unit, filter dirty. 5 hours and a/c temp dropped one degree. Mgmt tells me one hour for maintenance to arrive. Mgmt refused to give maintenance my phone number to call me when 10 minutes away so I could go eat dinner a block away with my family and then meet the guy when he gets to the house. Mgmt company tells me if I have any other issues I need to tell the guy while he’s at the house (really????) We don’t know somethings not working properly until we go to use it so can’t tell in advance if there are any other issues. Maintenance guy defensive and belligerent after I explained the situation and what I did/found with a/c. Said unit was just serviced and it was working properly. Temp only dropped one degree in 5 1/2 hours. Maintenance guy said Home Depot wasn’t 24 hours (933pm) gave a hand made/cut filter (improper material) for replacement. Pulled out gauge to check registers. 83 degrees 73% humidity. Was told metal roofs hold extra heat. Would call Ac company on Monday, but No need to send someone out that day or that week. Used bleach (seriously??) to clear out drain line although claimed it was already cleaned out a week ago when it was serviced. Tstat on 70 degrees - still 75 at 930 pm. It really is a beautiful home and property. Super comfy beds. Great showers. If I were homeowner I would want to know this management company is doing a sub par job.

As close to perfect as possible

Very updated nice home in every way. Very clean, updated accommodations. Must have been renovated throughout recently. The pool is fantastic. We have been coming to Marathon and renting VRBO canal/pool homes for years and this is by far the finest in the price range that we have found. We plan to reserve this home again for our next trip here. The only way to improve it would be to add a hot tub.
