  • It's all about the outdoor living at this lovely, central Keys getaway! Your home away from home on Marathon features a private boat dock, pool, and pool table - and you're walking distance to Sombrero Beach. Start your day on your wraparound deck, iced coffee in hand, enjoying that lovely water view. Take your time - you're in the Keys, so there's no rush. Back inside, whip up breakfast in your open, well-equipped kitchen, complete with all the gadgets and appliances you'll need. There's a dining area for six, but why not eat outside if it's nice (and it probably is). If you're leaving for the day, you can walk to the beach, fishing and boat charter outfitters, a marina, and restaurants. But why would you leave when you have a private resort right downstairs? Let your pup play in the enclosed yard of this dog-friendly home while you while away the afternoon in the pool. The mixologist of the group can use the downstairs, outdoor kitchen to whip up some boat drinks, and you can challenge them to a game of pool when they're done. Want to spend the day on the boat? No problem - you've got that private dock and access to a shared boat launch. Bring home your catch and clean it on the fish-cleaning table, or take one of the home's available 2 kayaks for a spin. When it's time to call it a night, settle in back upstairs on the comfy couch and flip on the TV - or head back out to that deck and enjoy the view.

House is amazing, its in a great location, easy access to the ocean, very shallow outside bouys but theres a channel to navigate. Would definately stay here again and highly recommended!

Annual Keys Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The outside bar was great for watching Hockey Playoffs and having drinks after days spent fishing and lounging by the pool. Our dog loved the freedom of a fully enclosed yard.

Wonderful getaway….

So enjoyed our stay here with a couple friends. Place has everything you need, is immaculate, fantastic view, and so close to either the beach in one direction and grocery stores in the other. Also located in a very nice residential neighborhood. Plan on returning! Thanks for the lovely stay!!

We had a great stay at this home. I agree with other reviewers that it could definitely use some work. We still thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The location is perfect, it was close to the grocery store and was less than 5 minutes from the dock to open ocean on the boat. The canal is shallow but handles our 25 ft boat with no problems. Just be sure to drive slow and stay in the channel. We also had a manatee visit our dock!! The first night it was late but we wanted to cook something and found there was no propane. No big deal, I contacted the host and didn’t expect anything but within 30 minutes they came by and delivered 2 new tanks. We are hoping to plan another trip and would absolutely stay at this home again.

Beautiful place

We came to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The place was beautiful, and clean. We enjoyed the pool every day and the activities that the property offers! Great Canal Waterfront Home

Very nice home with great water access and views. The deck space is great and the ground floor outdoor living space and pool are outstanding. Amenities such as kayaks are nice and there is a ramp to the canal for easy launching. Sombrero beach right up the street.

The house was beautiful, kitchen was spacious and the home is located in a great location. Sombrero beach is a 5-10 minute walk and its definitely worth visiting. The dock was awesome as we had a manatee visit us one day!!

40th Bday celebration

Spent a little over a week here for my 40th bday! House was as described. Could use a bit of updating but overall a great stay! Location is amazing!! Boat ramp next to the house was even more amazing! Had a couple slight issues but property manager was quick with response and repairs! Would definitely stay again!

Exactly as pictured

Great location! Perfect if you are bringing your own boat. Nice to have two rooms with king beds. We were two couples traveling to enjoy boating and fishing. This unit is very well stocked and had plenty of extras we were not expecting. The outdoor spaces are very well done and a bonus in addition to the nice unit.

Great stay in Marathon

We enjoyed our stay at the Anchor House. The house felt very clean, the bed was comfy, we enjoyed having the extra beach towels, and we loved the pool and fishing from the dock. The gravel drive was a tough on the dogs feet, but they seemed to enjoy their stay too. Our only disappointment was that the outside TV didn't work and we had lots of frustration with getting the keypad/house lock to work consistently. Otherwise - we had a great stay.

The listing stated only one camera at the entry door, however there were many more. This is really intrusive to me. I won't recommend this place because of it. The ceiling was in awful shape, the beds had impressions in them and the living room furniture was uncomfortable. I have rented many homes in the area and this was a 2 1/2 star out of 5 stars. We had a good time but, house needs a make over. I felt like I had to roll uphill in the bed. The house is in a corner where grasses and sea muck gather and it really stinks at low tide. I understand why others have complained about it. We enjoyed our stay only because we can make the best out of an OK home.

Great location; community boat ramp is a plus but the seasonal seaweed stench takes some getting used to. Home is comfortable and stocked well. A/C and washer/dryer I are both fantastic. Great open layout that makes it feel larger than a 2BR. Waterfall Shower heads are a bonus!! Downstairs bar and pool table next to the pool are great! Would rent again.

Relaxing trip in The Keys

We loved the house! The sea weed was a little to much by the dock. We couldn't see any sea life. Loved the pool. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. The one thing they need is beach chairs. Would of been nice to have when we went to the beach. Weve stayed where other houses have them. Very close to Publix and Winn Dixie. Coast to Coast pizza is delicious and right by Publix. Also love Key Fisheries. Brought back dips to snack on at night. Enjoy your time when you rent this house!

Amazing service and great holiday spot

We really enjoyed the place - very clean and spacious with beach and grocery stores close without the hassle of going back onto highway traffic. We rented bikes which were handy to tour the area and get to the beach. The kayaks provided got lots of use. We called Vacasa property services on a Sunday and reported minor issues with closet door and balcony door - we weren't looking for immediate service but an hour later we had a friendly handyman named Adam who looked after things - not used to that response - usually you wait on a 1-800 number for a long time to get someone but the immediate response is a rare thing these days.
