I can’t even begin to describe how awful an experience my family had at this property. Upon our arrival we discovered there was a termite infestation in the kitchen. They were crawling all over my 10-month-old child’s highchair, bibs & spoons. The bathtub where my 2 kids were supposed to bathe had these same bugs in it. I immediately contacted the emergency line. Two hours later, I received a call from the property manager saying this was common in FL & that maybe a pest control company come look at it tomorrow, but that we would probably have to leave the property. We constantly were cleaning the kitchen top to bottom with bleach to kill them, something that we should never have to do on vacation in a home that isn’t even ours. No one was returning any of my phone calls. Finally 2 days later, I received a text from the property manager saying pest control would be there later & they were only available for texting. Never in my life have I had such horrible customer service. On top of this unacceptable situation, the rules we had to follow here made us feel like we were not on vacation. We were only allowed 1 towel per person (4 adults) & no towels were included for my 2 kids or else we'd be charged. Not to mention the towels were worn out & used. The bed sheets were pilled & thin, the security cameras outside made us feel like we were always being watched, the garage code didn’t work, one of the outlets was hanging out of the wall. Don't rent here or from Island Escapes.
