"Victor went above and beyond as our host. Before even checking into the house, he helped set up transportation, rental cars, and a restaurant reservation recommended by him. His house was absolutely beautiful, and he greeted us upon our arrival to show us around the property. Thanks to him, we also had a unique lunch experience at this tavern on our first full day in town. Would reccomend to anyone!"

The pool.ans outdoor area was great though the weather was bad during our stay so we didn't get to use it.. easy drive to Porto too! The only thing we found was the listing says spa pool and fitness centre which must be a mistake as there is not either of those available a this house."

"Our stay was made especially pleasant by the helpfulness and friendliness of the owner. He could not have been better. Because it was an old stone house the availability of electrical outlets for charging phones etc and for appliances was very limited. Perhaps the charm of an old house. "Fatima welcomed and attended to us as if we were family. Deonilde delivered fresh bread in the morning and did our laundry. The view was spectacular, especially poolside. "This is an amazing house on an amazing property. The house is well appointed and spacious. The pool is enormous, and overlooks the river. We enjoyed watching the tour boats go up and down the river, and passing the goats and chickens on the road. The host has made it very comfortable. The only downside is it is an extremely twisty and steep road down to the house. But totally worth it for the serenity upon arrival."

Delightful three night stay
"We stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the 8th floor and was more a suite than a room. It comprised a king size bed, large couch, table for two and a bathroom. This room also had the added benefit of a private terrace/garden with river views. Quality of fitout was of a high standard and also included were robes and slippers. Additional facilities included in the room rate were three pools (and outdoor horizon pool, an indoor swimming pool and an indoor spa), sauna, steam room and a tennis court. In terms of dining there is a pool bar, another bar and a restaurant as well as room service. We ate at all four areas and the food was consistently good as was the service. We also had breakfast each day in the restaurant which had a good range of food and drink. The staff were exceptional and friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Overall an amazing stay. "
