"My husband, his mom, brother and niece had a lovely two days at the house. Everything was perfect. We had everything we needed to stay cozy, and cook our meals at home. "We stayed here a week.I was wishing we had stayed two. The views were incredible and it has a nice kitchen to work in.They could update the dishes, but not really a huge deal. Because the drive up Hwy 1 is on windy and steep roads you may not want to go into town much. The bedrooms are down many steps,so you must be able bodied. Numerous hiking opportunities close by."

"Great house and location. The house was well cared for and had all the kitchen appliances you would need. Appreciated that the "book/manual" had everything in the kitchen labeled with pictures. No need to open all the drawers and cabinets to find any utensil. The beds were comfy but the pillows were too soft for us. Great views on a clear day. Property Manager and his team were very efficient and responsive. We had a great time and would not hesitate to stay here again."

"Such a beautiful place to stay! The house is beautifully decorated and picturesque views of the ocean and sunrise & sunsets. The morning tide pools were robust with shells and starfish. "This hillside home overlooking Tomales Bay was the best experience of countless overnights visiting Point Reyes. "Overall, this was a lovely property. Plenty of space for our group of eight. Kitchen was reasonably well-stocked although it didn’t seem to include a wine opener. The dishwasher door is dented, so the lower rack constantly falls off the track when you pull it out to load dishes, and we tried to just load without pulling the rack out. "This place was perfect for our mother/daughter 8th grade girls retreat. Super clean and super pretty. "The instructions were to park in a special place designed for guests. A cart port. However as we pulled into the property, a lady had already parked there and plugged her car in and quickly ran into the house. The email told us to park in that place. We knocked in the door where the lady went but no response at all. Calling or contacting the host was a failure on multiple attempts. The sign on the door said to take our shoes off, but if you do, you will end up with pet hair on your socks or bare...

"This was the first time we stayed at Cavallo Lodge and it was amazing . Staff very helpful, and informed us on all the amenities available . The room ( the commanders suite) was amazing with breath taking views of SF bay. The suite was very comfortable, clean and very spacious. They offered turn down service , which is an added comfort. The only neg was the parking, our suite had its own parking space but someone else parked there which made us park a distance from . They offer free rental electric bikes which we thoroughly enjoyed. They have a spa which I wasn’t able to enjoy due to time So many amenities. We definitely will stay here again! It was a beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary. Cavalla lodge was the original Fort Baker base and it was redone tastefully but still has the historic charm. The restaurants at the lodge were very good and reasonably priced. We so enjoyed our stay , we’ll book for longer stay next year!!"

"The rooms are beautifully styled and a perfect location for a stay in Sausalito. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was updated. Michael greeted us and was able to check us in early since we had called as per the check in instructions. He was very welcoming and informative about the area. "
