Good location for a holiday overnight stop. Plenty of space in the car park. Quick and friendly check in. Room was clean and spacious with a comfy bed and fan for hot nights! Free Wi-Fi. Bathroom clean. Breakfast great choice and quality. Would definitely stay again.

A really lovely one night stay. Sitting in the sunny courtyard for drinks and dinner was very pleasant. The meat pies are excellent. Very friendly staff. The book shelves in the dining area are a nice idea. Room and en-suite bathroom were extremely clean and spacious. Breakfast was great - the cooked to order choice also enables you to access the buffet for cereals, fruit, yoghurts, juices etc.

This hotel is a typical English pub hotel best suited to those with a car. We had requested a ground floor room but were allocated an upstairs room on arrival. However, this was changed by the receptionist and the room we got was fine. It was a good size and looked out on the bar courtyard, fortunately quiet as it was cold and wet outside. The bathroom was fine and bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were good.

Spent a fantastic night here this past weekend, from the moment we checked in all the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming (we were even wished a good morning by the housekeeping staff we passed in the corridor as we were leaving!), the food and service in the restaurant were also both good and breakfast in the morning offered a great selection of choices. The two rooms we had were both clean and well presented (and close together a we had requested at the time of booking). Super impressed by the staff and the property and will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Very convenient location. Staff was great, and room very clean. The only downside was that as it is a pub, it was quite noisy just outside of my room when I actually wanted an early night. I imagine that having an upstairs room would have solved that, but I eventually managed to sleep anyway!
