  • Secluded and convenient, the Hill St. Hideaway sits on 10 peaceful acres nestled in a private holler and is a short walk to charming downtown Marshall. Enjoy nature's beauty as it shines through many new windows and sliding glass doors. Take a walk on the property's hiking trails, or to downtown, less than .5 miles away! Spend the day tubing on the French Broad River and cozy up around the fire pit under the stars for s'mores; or enjoy grilling on the wrap-around deck and patio.

    Designed with our guests in mind! This historic, beautifully-updated cabin is surrounded by nature's beauty and features an open concept living area, fully-equipped kitchen, fire pit w/ chairs and tables, Smart HD TVs, and a large wrap-around deck! Listen closely to hear the rush of the French Broad River while the fireflies twinkle in the yard. If you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of the deer and turkey families that live nearby.

    Walk to downtown Marshall and enjoy a day of shopping and dining by the river. Finish your trip w/ a drink inside the Old Marshall Jail or overlooking the river from Mad Co. Brew House's covered deck.

    Being less than 30 minutes to downtown Asheville, Weaverville, and Hot Springs makes the Hill St. Hideaway an ideal location for your Western NC getaway.

The house is in a secluded part of Marshall, offering solitude and respite. The walk from the house to Main Street is about 15 minutes, which is nice. The restaurants, and the entire town really, close early -- keep that in mind. Overall, the hosts were communicative and the house had everything we needed.

The property was beautiful and realxing! Really enjoyed the wildlife. The deer just hung out in the yard and napped under the buildings and a groundhog that appeared to live close by! Beautiful views on the drive in. I loved the handout the owner sent out regarding directions and helpful suggestions. Just a very awesome place and stay!! The little town is very unique, quiet , friendly and beautiful! Can’t wait to book again and re-visit!

Secluded but not too far away from necessities. Walk to town and drink excellent coffee and get a delicious bagel with cream cheese. Plenty of places to eat and more than enough trails nearby to keep you busy. This house is relaxing and gets all sorts of little visitors. Turtles, groundhogs, and deer.

Cozy home.

This home is the perfect place to stay for a mountain vacation. Hiking right from the home, wildlife viewing ( we saw a deer - beautiful). Very cozy and comfy.

Secluded get away

Very neat, updated and comfortable cottage in the woods, quiet yet convenient to town. Loved cooking our meals in, exploring the hills and trails, and the fire pit at night. Will hope to stay again.

This property was perfect for our short trip to Marshall NC. The home was clean, comfortable and convenient. A bonus was we were able to bring our dog with us. We enjoyed eating at several places in Marshall and had the luck of hearing the local ballad singers on the patio at Zadies on a beautiful night.

Great stay in spacious cabin - just as described

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was comfortable, spacious, clean. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped and made our stay easy and pleasant. We used the lovely outdoor space every night. Thank you for the great stay and making us feel at home!
