“Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.”

“It was a lovely little cottage, had everything we could need. Staff were also very helpful. very comfortable place. We enjoyed our stay very much. However the mattresses were a bit hard but that made little difference. We still slept well 😊 would recommend! ”

“The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. “A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and the bedrooms are a good size too. There are several uneven, steep steps walking up to the cottage so I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are unsteady on their feet. The owners left some biscuits and milk on the fridge which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future when visiting Whitby.”
