“We had a lovely stay in a friendly village with lots of things to do and places to eat nearby. The cottage was perfect and had everything you could want. ”

“The breakfasts were good, although they weren't included, but it was hard to get an evening meal. The room I stayed in was near the road and boiler/ air conditioning so it was very noisy so I slept very badly. The fire alarm went off early in the morning and we didn't get any information from the staff so didn't know if it was safe to return to our rooms. Although geographically it worked well I wouldn't stay there again.”

“Overall the stay was good, with just a couple of points that let it down. Breakfast on the first morning was quite disappointing in that we sat down and it was 35 minutes before our order was taken and another 20 minutes before it arrived. There were a number of vases of wilted/dead flowers around the rooms. Silly point, but the toilet roll holder was impossible to use without the roll coming off and shooting across the floor. Teapots need to be provided as standard at breakfast. The staff are……

“The hotel itself is lovely, the room we stayed in was spacious, high powered shower & a mini fridge. Major issue with pigeons on the balcony, 3 nesting plus others hopping about & unfortunately with pigeons comes a horrific amount of poop! Couldn’t have window open for fear of them coming into the room. Also our breakfast experience was ruined by the chefs inability to cook eggs. Poached or fried the yolks were hard despite (not that I should have to) asking for them to be runny. This really is……

“Easy check in taken to room which had everything you need very clean, tidy and modern. By the looks of the room it had recently been decorated and perhaps updated been done very nicely. All staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a meal early evening, four of us, different choices and we all enjoyed our meals. Breakfast in the morning was good with a nice choice. Nice garden area with lots of space and tables overlooking the broads, ideal location. Would definitely recommend staying here.”

“The carpet in our room was so old and in places appeared to be mouldy… we had a tiny basin in the room (and no basin in the en-suite) which was partially overhung by a shelf that made it very difficult to use properly and was likely the cause of the mould in front of it. Our ‘en-suite’ was cramped and the shower cubicle had mould in the sealant and grout. The extractor fan did not work and therefore the bathroom and bedroom felt and smelled damp when we returned after a day out- it was 26……

“A well run hotel...very clean room....and stayed on a Sunday evening when no food served so can't comment....but would recommend the hotel and will stay again...staff very helpful and lovely choice of beers at the bar....and shops close by”

“Helpful staff but very run down property. My room had a broken bed frame, a broken fridge with duct tape around it. A highly stained chair was included. The floor was uneven and very creaky, which caused a lot of noise.”
