“I would give a 10 star if I could! The home was super clean and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen had everything. We absolutely loved Washington! Quick trip to St. Louis and to the Katy Trail. Angela was a great host. We loved having the covered porch in the rain and the peacefulness of the deck out back. We always use VRBO and the master bed was the most comfortable we have ever stayed. Watch out for the air conditioning- it’s the best! The house was nice and cool in the June……

“Hosts were great, helpful and responsive. The Home is amazingly historic and so certainly has its limits, but it should not mean it cannot be warm and comfortable with decor and furnishings. There is no HVAC upstairs so space heaters were fussy to maintain and keep on with timers, etc. There is only two lamps in the home, so all rooms rely on ceiling fan lights - which are effective but do not allow a more relaxed evening or early morning atmosphere. Again, very cool house but just think……

“Perfect place for a getaway! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and had the best time. The condo is close to everything, the beach, pool, and store. Our host Monica made sure everything was perfect. The condo was clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much!!!”

“Overall it was sufficient for our use and fine if you’re ok with roughing it. WiFi was very spotty and not reliable, even for the tv provided. The bathroom is shoe horned in with no ceiling or full wall to separate from the sleeping area. The town was very small and quiet with very little people or services and a ways away from the closest city. Street parking. There is a kitchen and a small fridge but no sink or much of anything else for a kitchen. The air conditioning and fan worked……

“We really enjoyed staying at the Washington Guest House. The house is beautifully done and had super helpful touches like Kleenex, soft drinks in the fridge and games in the backyard. Our family enjoyed hanging out here in the evenings.”

“The property itself was very nice. However, the outside had an issue with birds. There was bird poop all over the walkway and stairs getting to the condo. We felt that this could have been cleaned up. Also, this is the first time I have ever been asked to pay extra in order to check in an hour or two early. We received an email telling us that if we would like to check in early - it would cost us an extra 110 to check in at noon and 47 to check in at 2:00. We have NEVER been charged anything to……
