Comfortable house for a family

We stayed in this home to attend a family reunion. We were impressed with the updates and the kitchen was so cute. Every room has a ceiling fan and the beds were all comfortable. Thanks for letting us stay in your house and for prompt refund of our security deposit.

Relaxing oasis close to everything

This place was awesome. It's close enough to San Marcos to go to stores/restaurants and far enough away from any crowds. You have direct access to the river which is very calm. I was able to SUP up river with no problem and relax on the float back to the house. The house is nice, clean, and cozy as well. I would definitely rent this house again.

Nice house

The river was right behind the house . But was covered with Lilly pads . I didn’t think it safe to go in the water . I tried cooking and the stove or oven didn’t work . The next day I found that it was unplugged . The house was extremely hot . I found rat droppings in the drawers and several drawers were broken . They looked good until you touched them . Communication was good but the house wasn’t up to par

Although there were a number of issues with the property the management group was excellent to work with. They were very responsive to the issues we presented and made the immediate corrections. I would definitely stay with them again.

Formula 1 weekend.

We stayed at this beautiful property which provided easy southern access to COTA as well as the famous Blacks BBQ in Lockhart. The host is great and we will definitely consider staying here again for next years race.

Cozy Wet and Fun

The house was cozy, however it needs some TLC, with deeper cleaning and some quick maintenance items that needed attention. It could use a replacement of shower curtains, pots & pans as well as fixing the kitchen cabinets. It was really nice to be so close to the river, although the backyard grass could have been cut to make the walk even nicer. Our family really enjoyed this location and would consider renting in the future.

Great weekend get away with friends and family

The River House was the perfect weekend get away for our little family and a group of friends. The yard is HUGE and the kids loved playing outside. The river was cool and refreshing. We swam and floated and fished. The house is old but comfortable and had everything we needed.

Great for small groups

The house was the perfect size for our group! We loved having river access and the outdoor space to use. Good for kids too! Only small complaints were it was a bit warm in the evenings because you can’t turn the AC down past 72 and we ran out of trash can space outside with only one smaller black bin. Thank you for the great weekend!

Cute house

This was a cute house, close to town and right on the river. Kara was helpful, easily contactable and responded quickly. We had family come in from all over Texas and it was perfect! The kitchen had almost everything we needed but you will need to bring or buy all spices. If you have a party with lots of trash bring trash bags only supplied a couple of extra bags. No washer or dryer access.

OUTSTANDING! love the River House!

We stayed at the River House over New Years - my wife, 3 daughters, and myself. Even with 5 us there was more than enough room. This truly felt like home! The back porch is awesome! Loved sitting on the porch in the mornings and at sunset. The river is very pretty at this spot. The price for what you get makes this place an exceptional value. Kara was great to work with - very responsive, helpful, and gracious. We highly recommend staying at the River House when you are in the area.

House was perfect for our needs!

House was perfect for 10 people to stay comfortably. Had enough room for everyone and all the amentities needed! House was right on the river with a beautiful view and close enough to town and the tubing area! Will definitely be coming back for our next trip to this house!

Great Outdoor Weekend

We had a great weekend at the cute River House. We rented the house for graduation weekend from TXST. Plenty of house space and tons of outdoor space. We really enjoyed the trees and the water front.

Very nice setting. Away from any noise. The river was beautiful and warm.

We rented the property after our son graduated from Texas State. We don’t live close and had relatives coming in from NY. It was a perfect location...plenty of room and beautiful property.

outdoorsy and relaxing

We were here for a wedding that was in Kyle, TX. Our stay was nice and relaxing and it had everything we needed. We are outdoors type people so we appreciated being on the river. We searched for critters with our kids and found the nicest lizards. Since that was the goal on our trip, this made it all worth it. The beds were comfortable and it felt like home. It was quiet and peaceful...the neighbors were nice too!
