"Great stay in Thibodaux for Christmas to visit family. The home is older and rustic, with lots of character and many original features. We looked it up and found it to be built in 1908. It was VERY clean, nicely decorated and filled with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen has everything you need. Plenty of extra towels and bedding. "We certainly enjoyed our stay. The views and the bird watching off the back deck are certainly entertaining. We were even lucky enough to see an alligator one morning. I wish we hadn't been so busy with football in Baton Rouge, so we could have enjoyed the property even more. A return visit is a must! The town of Vacherie is so precious. We met lots of great people, especially at DJ's Grill (we went there twice). Thank you for letting us stay at your unique home."

"The pictures of the place look cute. When we got there we were horrified! My family and I arrived to the property, and discovered the 3rd "bedroom" was a refinished garage without heat! It was 40 degrees that night. We also found mouse dropping in a different bedroom. We travel with pets so we had no other choice but to stay the night. We didn't arrive until after 9pm. When we woke the next morning there were cockroaches in the kitchen. We called the owner right away. He knew about the roaches...

"We stayed here for 2 nights after hurricane Francine and while we had no power the entire time, it was great. Justin and Alana are very responsive. We booked very close to our stay and had to make changes because of the hurricane and they did what they could to accommodate us. The location is convenient but not walkable, however we weren't expecting it to be. Everything worked out in the end!"
