2/10 Terrible

I had to fix the boiler twice in my three night stay, which was made more difficult by the host not having ensured the thermostat had enough battery power.I also had to find the electrical consumer unit and switch a RCDNot every guest will be willing or able to do this, and if the case was that they are not well then the host would have been calling out tradesmen and /or having to class the property as not usable mid-let.This would have incurred some expense but I have not received more than an AI generated thank you with no hint of a will or kindness to refund me for my trouble in saving them hassle and money & bar an impersonal message referencing standard conditions in the booking smallprint.I also had to defrost the freezer and fix it's door in order to prevent a wet kitchen floor during our stay. The kitchen wasn't equipped as one might expect for self-catering. For example, there was no tea-pot, grater amongst other things suggesting the host hasn't actually hosted there themself. The frying pan was so cheap and old that it had warped, the pans were damaged and one of our meals had to be thrown away because the non-stick material had come away and was all in the food. The external stairwell was not lit (apart from a very dim battery camping type light) and this was dangerous to navigate after dark.I don't normally mind getting around issues like this (as can be seen by me fixing things) but the hosts reticence in understanding thanking and refunding is not good.
