"Spent one night in June 2026. Staff at the desk were very kind and professional. Hotel is beautifully restored and clean. Because it’s a historic hotel, it doesn’t have certain amenities like an elevator or air conditioning, and that’s part of the charm! We were very comfortable with the windows open and a fan going. Beds were warm and comfortable with heavy quilts. We were very glad to discover this lodge and will stay again if we happen to be passing through."

"The location is spectacular. It's a perfect place to get away from it all. We were in an older room in the smaller building. The room is run down and in need of updating. I suspect we were there because we brought dogs. So as long as you get the right room this is a great hotel in a spectacular location."

"Peaceful & quiet, and it really feels like a step back in time. We had a wonderful stay in Ferndale, and our hosts at the mansion were amazing! Homemade breakfast every morning, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves most of time! It was a very nice experience. Totally recommend & would definitely go back!"

"Everything was very nice, the house and view were beautiful. The only negative reviews I have seen have been the delay in getting the cleaning deposit back. I will wait to see the accuracy of this, hopefully it is inaccurate. The rest was perfect."
